Design & Creativity
The Design & Creativity WG aims to raise awareness of design and creativity as tools and drivers for innovation in different sectors and across Europe. Our objectives are the following: To present challenges; especially in relation to sectors that do not yet work with design (thinking) and creativity; to showcase the importance of design & creativity through good examples and concrete cases; to create a strong and vital community among our stakeholders across Europe through a bottom-up approach; to connect designers, thinkers, business, policy and society interested in finding common solutions for different challenges and to create opportunities for the WG members to develop project proposals, share their ideas, stories and ongoing activities with the EU community.

Culture and Mental Health: Practices and Policies
The Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the European Union, Culture Action Europe and RED NOSES International are hosting an event as part of the current EU projects “Culture for Health” and “Clowning Connects Us” titled: Culture and Mental Health - Practices and Policies. Through examples from the field and a panel discussion with decision-makers, the event offers the opportunity to discuss how we can make better use of and systematically include cultural approaches in our health and social care systems.
EU Missions creating new markets: the crucial role of the triple helix collaboration
The TRAMI project, in collaboration with ERRIN, is organising a Mutual Learning Event exploring the role of industry, academia and public authorities in achieving the objectives of the five EU Missions through triple helix collaboration. This event offers a unique opportunity for industry, public authorities and academia to discuss how to intensify collaboration and joint action toward achieving the ambitious goals defined by the EU Missions. The Cultural Heritage and Tourism and the Design and Creativity Working Groups are organising a meeting with the participation of the Goethe Institut on Culture Moves Europe on 10 May. Culture Moves Europe provides mobility grants for artists and cultural professionals in all 40 creative Europe countries.

Exploring Synergies between European Partnerships and EU Missions – Mutual Learning Event

A Danish film company is looking for partners to join them in their Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership project, focussing on the development of a VR educational experience. The material will include an educational segment and an interative VR challenge, where students will apply their knowledge to ensure the species' survival.
The European Heritage Hub project is looking for good practices
The European Heritage Hub is collecting good practices to share throughout Europe and beyond! Administrations of a city or region are asked to submit highlights of their work in heritage in the context of the ‘triple transformation ’ – green, digital and social – of our society. Ten practices will be selected for publication and promotion through the European Heritage Hub. Cities whose good practices are selected also get the opportunity to host a peer learning visit with a delegation of 20 participants funded by the project (3 peer learning visits will take place between Q2 2024 and Q1 2025).
InnoArch searches to join consortium for HORIZON-CL6-2024-BIODIV-02-2-two-stage
InnoArch is a Norwegian consortium dedicated to fostering innovation-driven research, production, and dissemination within architecture and urban development. They are looking for a European consortium for HORIZON-CL6-2024-BIODIV-02-2-two-stage.
ERRIN end of year reception - 2023 Highlights
On 7 December, ERRIN celebrated the network’s achievements in 2023. Following an engaging meeting with leaders of our 15 Working Groups, all ERRIN members were invited to a cocktail reception featuring a keynote from Markus Schulte, Head of Cabinet of Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth. REGIONS2030: Call for expression of interest - deadline extended
The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) is inviting European regions to express their interest to contribute to the Pilot Project "REGIONS2030: Monitoring the SDGs in the EU regions - Filling the data gaps", supported by the European Parliament. Call for regional examples for the ICT WG meeting on digital transformation of public services
The ERRIN ICT Working Group is looking for regional examples for its upcoming networking session on the digital transformation of public services in different thematic areas. The meeting will take place in person on 13 October from 16:00-19:00 in Brussels. The call for examples will be open until 4 October.

Energy & Climate Change WG meeting on Sustainable Buildings - call for presentations
On Friday 30 September from 10:30-12:00, the Energy and Climate Change Working Group will host a hybrid event on the topic of Sustainable Buildings. A call for presentations to be presented during the meeting is now open until 25 September.

DG GROW Inventory of transferable digital tools and practices for the tourism sector
DG GROW has launched the project “INVENTORY OF TRANSFERABLE DIGITAL APPLICATIONS AND SOLUTIONS FOR THE TOURISM ECOSYSTEM” (Contract Number EASME-2019-OP-0021-015-GROW-IN) that aims to collect information about digital tools and practices used in EU countries that support the tourism sector. The inventory is built on data collected via a public survey open until 30 September.

New members of the EU Missions Boards announced
Yesterday the European Commission announced 75 new top experts who will advise on the five EU Missions through serving on their Boards. ERRIN is thrilled that Françoise Guaspare from Île-de-France Europe, one of the Transport Working Group leaders, will join the Mission Board of the Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission.
