Design & Creativity
The Design & Creativity WG aims to raise awareness of design and creativity as tools and drivers for innovation in different sectors and across Europe. Our objectives are the following: To present challenges; especially in relation to sectors that do not yet work with design (thinking) and creativity; to showcase the importance of design & creativity through good examples and concrete cases; to create a strong and vital community among our stakeholders across Europe through a bottom-up approach; to connect designers, thinkers, business, policy and society interested in finding common solutions for different challenges and to create opportunities for the WG members to develop project proposals, share their ideas, stories and ongoing activities with the EU community.

EU Missions creating new markets: the crucial role of the triple helix collaboration
The TRAMI project, in collaboration with ERRIN, is organising a Mutual Learning Event exploring the role of industry, academia and public authorities in achieving the objectives of the five EU Missions through triple helix collaboration. The first Regional Innovation Valleys calls for proposals under the European Innovation Ecosystems (EIE) part of Horizon Europe and under the Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) Instrument of the ERDF were launched by the European Commission on 17 May with an overall budget of EUR 122 million. The closing date for applying is 17 October 2023.

On 15 May, the European Commission's DG RTD launched a call for applications for the Commission Expert Group on the Interim Evaluation of Horizon Europe. The group shall gather 15 highly experienced members with the aim to provide the Commission with strategic recommendations to feed into the design of the next Framework Programme 2028-2034.

Puglia are searching for partners from Finland, Sweden and Norway for an INTERREG Europe call. The project proposal aims to build knowledge and to enhance public policies related to hybrid spaces for young people dedicated to creativity, culture and innovation.
Cultural Heritage in Action concludes with valuable outcomes for cities and regions
The Creative Europe peer-learning scheme for cities and regions on cultural heritage, implemented by Eurocities, KEA, ERRIN, Europa Nostra, and the Architects Council of Europe presents now a digital toolbox, a catalogue of good practices and a thematic analysis as its outcomes.

EU R&I community providing support for Ukrainian researchers

Creative Europe cooperation project - Training program for musicians
Building on two former Creative Europe cooperation projects, Trempo and its partners have developed a program named Slash - Transition aiming to experiment how musicians should integrate transition issues within their career development models. Slash -Transition also offers to rethink the role of music, and then, musicians in the cities and districts in transition. Slash is a project combining musicians’ career development and future-proof projects for cities, based on a transdisciplinary and collaborative approach.

Call for short videos on innovative regional initiatives to be presented at WIRE 2022
To highlight innovation in Europe during this year's edition of the Week of Innovative Regions in Europe (WIRE) in France, short videos will be played during the event, presenting innovative R&I related activities/initiatives/projects led by the European regions. Regions interested in showcasing their initiatives can submit the videos until 29 April 2022.

VIA University College seeks consortium for Erasmus+ Teacher Academies
As one of six university colleges in Denmark, VIA University College educates e.g. teachers, pre-school and early childhood learning specialists, nurses, social workers, engineers and designers and offer education programmes in 11 cities of the Central Denmark Region. VIA also has seven research and development centres including centres and programs developing and researching digital learning, sustainability and inclusion.
