The Design & Creativity WG aims to raise awareness of design and creativity as tools and drivers for innovation in different sectors and across Europe. Our objectives are the following: To present challenges; especially in relation to sectors that do not yet work with design (thinking) and creativity; to showcase the importance of design & creativity through good examples and concrete cases; to create a strong and vital community among our stakeholders across Europe through a bottom-up approach; to connect designers, thinkers, business, policy and society interested in finding common solutions for different challenges and to create opportunities for the WG members to develop project proposals, share their ideas, stories and ongoing activities with the EU community.

ERRIN is organising its 'Circular Economy event: opportunities and challenges for members', taking place in person in Brussels on 21 October 2025 from 9:30 to 12:30, followed by a networking lunch.

ERRIN will host its cross-clusters Circular Economy event in Brussels on 21 October 2025. The event will explore the latest political developments, including the upcoming Circular Economy Act, and offering members the chance to contribute to ERRIN’s response to the public consultation. The programme will also showcase regional best practices in advancing circularity, with a call for examples open until 19 September.

On 10 October, the Capital Cities and Regions Network (CCRN) is organising the event 'Housing for the Common Good: Sustainable housing governance in European cities and regions'. The 23rd European Week of Regions and Cities (EWRC) brought together over 6,000 participants in Brussels under the motto Shaping Tomorrow, Together. As the largest annual event on EU Cohesion Policy, it provided a platform for cities and regions to exchange ideas on sustainable development, innovation and inclusiveness. ERRIN and its members were actively engaged throughout the week, contributing to and supporting several sessions that highlighted the importance of strong and connected regional innovation ecosystems.
The ERRIN Secretariat is seeking a new colleague to work on a range of activities related to climate resilience and culture! The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing climate adaptation projects (RESIST, Pathways2Resilience) and support the policy and project activities under the Culture and Creativity cluster. The responses from this survey will be used by the Working Group and Task Force leaders during the annual strategy workshops in November to shape the activities in 2026. We invite all of ERRIN's members to share their current R&I priorities, topics and preferences for working with ERRIN in 2026. The survey is open until 31 October 2025.
On 30 September and 1 October, PROSPERO Project, in which ERRIN is a partner, will meet in Middelfart, Denmark, for its second interregional gathering. The programme will immerse participants in the city’s creative and touristic scene through site visits, workshops and exchanges with local stakeholders, engaging the partners in a dialogue on how to steer its future development as a dynamic hub.
One stakeholder from Romania is leading a consortium for the call HORIZON-NEB-2025-01-BUSINESS-01 and seeks municipalities, universities, technical partners to join the proposal.
