The European Heritage Hub is an EU-funded pilot project bringing together heritage stakeholders and initiatives across Europe to support the transition towards a more sustainable, digital and inclusive society. The report details AI’s capacity to improve preservation, accessibility, and interaction with cultural assets. The European Commission put forward the European Declaration on Digital Rights and Principles for a human-centred digital transformation. Among other things, the declaration should guide public administrations and policymakers - including in the regions - when reflecting on their visions of the digital transformation.
Following the adoption of the first Work Programme for the digital part of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF Digital) in December 2021, the European Commission now launched the first calls for proposals under CEF Digital. The calls aim to strengthen digital connectivity infrastructures across the EU and support Europe's digital transformation.

On 16 December the European Commission adopted the first Work Programme for the digital part of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF Digital), defining the scope and aims of the EU-supported actions needed to improve Europe's digital connectivity infrastructures for 3 years. Over €1 billion will be dedicated to these actions in funding in 2021-2023.
