ICT
The main objective of the ICT Work Group is to act as a platform to discuss and share information on ICTrelated initiatives and funding opportunities in relation to the European Commission’s policy priority “A Europe fit for the digital age”. Especially highlighting the regional dimension of the ICT-field, the WG aims to create opportunities for interregional cooperation in the field of ICT by linking with other areas and sectors such as smart cities, energy, transport, health or culture.

EDIC Pre-Launch event - 'Harnessing the potential of smart cities and regions together'
As part of the Belgian Presidency, a pre-launch event is organised on 16 April 2024 to present the first European Digital Infrastructure Consortium (“EDIC”) on Networked Local Digital Twins Towards the CitiVerse.
Final event FASTLISA Project
The final event of Project FASTLISA, a project to fight hate speech and build digital citizenship with an interdisciplinary approach, will be held on 11-12 April 2024 at the Delegation to the EU of Emilia-Romagna Region. Workshop on Innovative Tools to Engage Older Adults in Managing Their Health
The Greater Copenhagen EU Office is hosting a workshop on 11 April entitled "Innovative Tools to Engage Older Adults in Managing Their Health.” as part of the SMILE Horizon 2020 project. The project supports older adults with severe health conditions in 'ageing in place.' Within living labs, they actively engage senior citizens, particularly those with COPD, dementia, or post-surgery, to comprehensively understand their unique needs and preferences for in-home care.

As the ACTIONbook builds on the experiences from the PRI Pilot Action, next steps linked to this initiative will also be shared.

The European Commission opened an opportunity to provide input for the development of the Horizon Europe ‘main’ work programme 2025. Submitted responses will contribute to the co-design of the work programme 2025, covering all six clusters, research infrastructures, European innovation ecosystems, the five EU Missions and the New European Bauhaus facility. The deadline for feedback is 6 May 2024 midday, CEST.
The European Capital of Innovation Awards
In 2024, the European Innovation Council is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the European Capital of Innovation Awards. The competition rewards those European cities that are courageous enough to open their governance practices to experimentation and push the boundaries of technology for the benefit of their citizens. In addition to the monetary reward, the prize brings high visibility in the form of renewed public interest and increased media coverage. The deadline for submission is 18 June 2024, 17:00.
Third Call for Proposals of the European Urban Initiative- Innovative Actions
The third call for proposals of the European Urban Initiative (EUI) - Innovative Actions will be launched in May 2024 and close in October 2024. The call is targeting innovative projects focusing on two topics: 'energy transition' and 'technology in cities', and has an indicative budget of €90 million ERDF.
