Innovation & Investment
The Innovation & Investment Working Group aims to monitor the main initiatives put in place by the European institutions under the priority ‘an economy that works for the people’ and explicitly target SMEs. The Working Group monitors industrial and cluster policy developments and promotes instruments that support innovative financing (e.g., cascade funding financial instruments).

TREASoURcE Webinar: Local circular economy solutions to global challenges – Exclusive look at the first results from TREASoURcE demos
On 29 May, the Horizon Europe TREASouURCE project organises 3 thematic webinars on circular plastics, batteries and bio-based side streams. The webinars will present the results and findings from the first half of the project and provide discussion time for the participants to engage. Furthermore, the Replication Handbook will be launched during the event.

Health InnoFacilitator project launches call for receiving tailored procurement coaching sessions
The EU-funded project Health InnoFacilitator invites public procurers operational in the provisioning of health and social care to apply for the Call for Coaching Sessions to receive advice to facilitate the launch of future tenders to procure innovative solutions. Coaching will be given on either "Advise public buyers on the formulation of their needs" or "Advise public buyers on the PPI process". The deadline for application is 29 February.

Regional Innovation Valleys calls for proposals launched!
The first Regional Innovation Valleys calls for proposals under the European Innovation Ecosystems (EIE) part of Horizon Europe and under the Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) Instrument of the ERDF were launched by the European Commission on 17 May with an overall budget of EUR 122 million. The closing date for applying is 17 October 2023.
