The Innovation & Investment Working Group aims to monitor the main initiatives put in place by the European institutions under the priority ‘an economy that works for the people’ and explicitly target SMEs. The Working Group monitors industrial and cluster policy developments and promotes instruments that support innovative financing (e.g., cascade funding financial instruments).

In line with the New European Innovation Agenda, the European Commission has launched a call for Expression of Interest for European regions to become Regional Innovation Valleys. Furthermore, two calls for proposals under EIE part of Horizon Europe and I3 Instrument of ERDF will open on 17 May 2023. In this context, ERRIN is planning dedicated activities.
The InnoBuyer call for challengers is open until 17:00 CET on 31 March 2023. Grants of up to €41.5k are available, funded by the European Commission, under 4 actions related to unmet innovation needs.
We are happy to welcome you to the next meeting of the Innovation & Investment Working Group, which will focus on the Joint Cluster Initiative (Single Market Programme) as well as on the European Innovation Ecosystems (Horizon Europe programme).
