ADRAL

ADRAL is an interface platform to boost regional development, having played a discrete but fundamental role to date in leveraging a better Alentejo, and will continue in the future to be a key organisation supporting innovation, internationalisation and cohesion in the vast territory, and to this end, it has a wide representation and comprehensive range of shareholders.

ADRAL aims at promoting, within the framework of policies and strategies approved at national level, the economic, social and cultural development of a certain part of the national territory, namely by pursuing a set of activities in line with its object.

ADRAL's mission is the economic and social development of the Alentejo region through cooperation with other agents in the territory, in a position of the interface between partners, policies and resources.

S3 Strategy

Alentejo RIS3 aims at improving the competitiveness and internationalisation of the regional economy by focusing on the competitive advantages of Alentejo’s scientific and technological regional system.The regional smart specialisation strategy establishes the following strategic priorities:

• Food and forestry.

• Economy of the mineral, natural and environmental resources.

• Heritage, cultural and creative industries and tourism services.

• Critical technologies, energy and smart mobility.

• Technologies and specialised services of the social economy.

Strategic R&I Projects

AQUA-COMBINE

The AQUA-COMBINE project aims to demonstrate combined aquaculture and halophyte farming using the principles of circular economy, where waste and residues are utilised with-in the system to create both internal value and new products.

Urbansol

Urbansol is an INTERREG funded project aiming at promoting sustainable development according to the methodology defined throughout the project. Urbansol promotes the development of Sustainable and Intelligent Development Action Plans (PADISI).

LIFE ADAPTATE

The LIFE ADAPTATE project aims to develop local mitigation and adaptation plans with a focus on adapting to climate change.

AERIS

The AERIS Project – Integrating and Improving the Competitiveness of the Aeronautical Cluster in the Andalusian-Alentejo Cross-Border Region aims to improve the innovation of companies in the Andalusian-Alentejo area.
