15 Hydrogen Valleys receive project development support: 11 in ERRIN regions

Fifteen Hydrogen Valleys have been selected under the Hydrogen Valleys Facility’s first call for applications. These projects span 11 countries (eight EU Member States and three Horizon Europe Associated Countries) and will receive support through the Hydrogen Valleys Facility, funded by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership. The initiative aims to accelerate the deployment of Hydrogen Valleys across Europe and contributes to the European Commission’s objective of having 50 operational or under-construction Hydrogen Valleys by 2030.

Through the Facility’s Project Development Assistance (PDA) programme, regions and project developers gain access to tailored commercial, technical, regulatory and governance expertise to help advance their Hydrogen Valley proposals toward Final Investment Decision (FID). The PDA programme provides two support tracks:

  • PDA Light (6 weeks) – early-stage support to develop a detailed pre-feasibility project concept
  • PDA Plus (12 weeks) – modular support for advancing existing concept studies toward and preparing a clear roadmap toward FID.

ERRIN is pleased to see that 11 of these valleys are located in ERRIN member regions:
