NEB Task Force
The goal of the NEB Task Force is to follow up the EU level developments of the initiative as well as showcase activities carried out on the local level to demonstrate concrete examples and results and build momentum towards a stronger NEB initiative. One of the main objectives of the task force is to develop members' understanding of the NEB initiative and, consequently, their capacity to maximise their engagement with it, particularly engaging their local ecosystems and building new collaborations. As a NEB partner, ERRIN aims to strengthen the policy dialogue with the EU institutions, with the NEB Taks Force driven by the most active members in the NEB topic.

NEB Task Force Satellite Event: Regions & Cities paving the future of the NEB
ERRIN New European Bauhaus Task Force is organising a NEB Festival Satellite event on the role of regions and cities in shaping the future of the NEB on 16 April from 10:00-12:00. Opening up Research and Innovation processes in EU Missions: Interactive Workshop
As part of the New European Bauhaus Festival, the REINFORCING project will be running a workshop on Open Responsible Research and Innovation. During this interactive and participatory workshop, participants will have a chance to discover practical examples of how public engagement and co-creation processes can be used in the context of EU missions and share the challenges faced in implementing these processes. The European Commission is now inviting all interested parties to contribute to the consultation on defining the content of the New European Bauhaus Facility.
ERRIN Paper Series: Towards the 10th Framework Programme - EU Missions
ERRIN is pleased to launch a series of input papers on the 10th Framework Programme, with this paper focusing on EU Missions. ERRIN has been closely involved in the design and implementation of the EU Missions since their inception, making them a priority for the network. This input paper on the role of EU Missions in FP10 has been created with contributions from ERRIN members and their ecosystems.
Two new NEB funding opportunities are open
The EIT Community New European Bauhaus (NEB) has announced two new funding opportunities, Connect NEB and Co-create NEB – calling for citizen-generated solutions to the challenges facing cities, peri-urban and rural areas.
European Heritage Hub announces grants to 14 heritage projects in EU neighbouring countries and calls for increased funding
The European Heritage Hub, a pilot project co-funded by the EU connecting heritage stakeholders across Europe, has selected 14 heritage projects across 11 EU neighbouring countries for its Small Grants Scheme (see annexe for the complete list of projects). Around 250,000 EUR has been allocated to the selected initiatives led by civil society organisations, distributed among small, medium, and large-scale grants. The Scheme is run by Europa Nostra, the Project Leader of the European Heritage Hub, in consultation with other members of the Hub consortium, and is co-funded by ALIPH Foundation.
S+T+ARTS Hungry Ecocities: Call for Artists in the Agri-food sector
Hungry EcoCities is launching the second call for artists dedicated to developing innovative prototypes for products and services within the agri-food sector that can enhance AI-enabled responsible innovation for a sustainable food chain. The project will feature up to 10 collaborative experiments between art and the agri-food industry, known as Paths to Progress Experiments (PPEs). The initiative aims to explore one of the most pressing challenges of our times: the need for a more healthy, sustainable, responsible, and affordable agri-food system for all enabled by AI.

ERRIN is pleased to share a two-pager for the incoming European decision-makers, aiming to present the network and our value to the new MEPs, raising a voice for the importance of place-based R&I in the changing landscape. 2024 will mark the beginning of the Living Spaces peer-learning visits organised by Eurocities and the Architects' Council of Europe (ACE-CAE). 12 European cities and regions will host peer-learning visits in 2024. The European Heritage Hub project is looking for good practices
The European Heritage Hub is collecting good practices to share throughout Europe and beyond! Administrations of a city or region are asked to submit highlights of their work in heritage in the context of the ‘triple transformation ’ – green, digital and social – of our society. Ten practices will be selected for publication and promotion through the European Heritage Hub. Cities whose good practices are selected also get the opportunity to host a peer learning visit with a delegation of 20 participants funded by the project (3 peer learning visits will take place between Q2 2024 and Q1 2025).
