Health
ERRIN’s Health Working Group (WG) supports members with early intelligence and regular updates about EU-level health policy-related issues, regulations, EU programmes and their funding opportunities. Creating opportunities for interregional cooperation in the Health area is one of the WG’s main objectives. The WG is also a vehicle for networking, profile raising and promoting good practices and projects among health stakeholders in the ERRIN regions.

On 18 and 19 January 2022, the European Commission will host virtual information days dedicated to the Horizon Europe Missions. All five missions will be discussed over the two days.

All ERRIN members are invited to save the date for the ERRIN Extraordinary General Meeting, which will take place on 16 November 2023 in the ERRIN premises. The meeting is organised to make the necessary changes to the ERRIN Articles of Association and a minimum of 2/3 of the ERRIN members must be represented. EU Missions: The European Commission publishes its first mid-term review
On 19 July, the European Commission (EC) published a Communication on the assessment of the EU Missions after two years of implementation. The EC details the Missions' successes but also recognises the need to address challenges related to governance, budget, citizens and private sector engagement. The EC also proposes to add a sixth Mission on the New European Bauhaus.
European Commission launches the Harnessing Talent Platform- Call for Working Group Participation

The European Commission has just launched the Harnessing Talent Platform (HTP), a centralised online hub providing relevant information, knowledge, and assistance to help EU regions dealing with demographic challenges to attract, develop and retain talent. The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) is inviting European regions to express their interest to contribute to the Pilot Project "REGIONS2030: Monitoring the SDGs in the EU regions - Filling the data gaps", supported by the European Parliament. Support for Resilience: Supporting resilience and mental wellbeing through the Support for Resilience toolbox for healthcare providers in primary and community care
There is a joint problem in EU’s primary and community care with: a) a lack of healthcare professionals, and b) a major mismatch of capacity and demands causing stress, burnout, uncertainty, and reduced mental health and wellbeing among healthcare workers, leaders, and informal care givers. This challenges the ability of resilient performance and quality in healthcare services, it challenges mental well-being of the health care providers, and increases the risk of patient harm. This project integrates theories of resilient leadership, individual and organisational resilience in the development of an evidence-based toolbox aimed at primary and community care. The purpose is to support healthcare leaders, healthcare workers and informal caregivers with a capacity to create resilience and mental wellbeing in their work of caring for patients. The Support for Resilience toolbox is a set of highly adaptable supporting tools, aimed for use by healthcare leaders, healthcare workers and informal care givers in primary and community care in different times and spaces.
