Health
ERRIN’s Health Working Group (WG) supports members with early intelligence and regular updates about EU-level health policy-related issues, regulations, EU programmes and their funding opportunities. Creating opportunities for interregional cooperation in the Health area is one of the WG’s main objectives. The WG is also a vehicle for networking, profile raising and promoting good practices and projects among health stakeholders in the ERRIN regions.

CareAge Conference - Ageing societies: research, education, and practice – Sustainable collaboration in old age care
The CareSam network is organising a conference on ageing societies in an EU perspective, the challenges and opportunities. The number of older adults living with chronic diseases, multi-morbidity and dementia or other mental health illnesses is growing, leading to pressure on both the old age care sector and on relatives. This can only be understood, dealt with, and taken advantage from through interdisciplinary collaboration.
Regional Innovation Valleys calls for proposal online info session
On 25 May 2023, EISMEA is organising an online info session about the two Regional Innovation Valleys calls for proposals under the European Innovation Ecosystems part of Horizon Europe and the Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) Instrument, to be launched on 17 May 2023. Insights will be shared about the policy background and the call application process.
Culture and Mental Health: Practices and Policies
The Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the European Union, Culture Action Europe and RED NOSES International are hosting an event as part of the current EU projects “Culture for Health” and “Clowning Connects Us” titled: Culture and Mental Health - Practices and Policies. Through examples from the field and a panel discussion with decision-makers, the event offers the opportunity to discuss how we can make better use of and systematically include cultural approaches in our health and social care systems.
EU Missions creating new markets: the crucial role of the triple helix collaboration
The TRAMI project, in collaboration with ERRIN, is organising a Mutual Learning Event exploring the role of industry, academia and public authorities in achieving the objectives of the five EU Missions through triple helix collaboration. This event offers a unique opportunity for industry, public authorities and academia to discuss how to intensify collaboration and joint action toward achieving the ambitious goals defined by the EU Missions. The event will take place on 17 May from 09:00-12:00.
Innovation procurement as a vehicle to address healthcare challenges
his sixth episode of EcoQUIP+’s procurement series for health managers will focus on innovations procured by healthcare providers to address existing healthcare challenges. The webinar will take place on 16 May from 11:00-11:40.
TEHDAS workshop on health data altruism
The TEHDAS joint action invites stakeholders across Europe to participate in building recommendations on health data altruism. The workshop will take place on Thursday 27 April from 15.00-17.00 CEST. You can participate in Brussels at the Hungarian Permanent Representation to the European Union (address: Rue de Trèves 92, 1040 Bruxelles). The workshop will be followed by a reception to ensure the possibility of further discussion and networking.

ERRIN Spring AGM 2023
Save the date for ERRIN’s 2023 Spring Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will take place on 22 June from 14:30-18:00 CET, followed by a networking reception. We are happy to announce that this year the event will be held in person with online streaming available, and will be hosted at Scotland Europa Office in Brussels.
Stakeholders' Targeted Consultation on EU4Health: future priorities, orientation and needs
The Commission has launched a consultation on the EU4Health, asking about its future priorities, orientation and needs. The deadline for contribution is 8 May 2023.
The Transforming Health and Care Systems Partnership launches first transnational call
The European Partnership on Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) has launched its first Joint Transnational Call for proposals aiming to encourage the optimisation of patient care pathways. The Deadline for obligatory Intent to Apply submission is 23 May, with the Deadline for proposal submission being 13 June.
Obesity Interreg Europe
The region of Southern Denmark and the Haderslev Municipality are looking for partners to form a consortium to apply to the Interreg second call on the topic of obesity. The deadline for expressions of interest is 3 March.

ERRIN is pleased to share its input to the largest public consultation on the past, present and future of the Horizon programmes 2014-2027. The document is structured around four main areas based on the network’s priorities: EU Missions, European Partnerships, widening, and ecosystem approach.
ERRIN's EU Missions project mapping: express your interest
ERRIN aims to provide support to its members in developing successful proposals under the EU Missions of the Horizon Europe 2023-2024 work programme. ERRIN designed a brief survey with the upcoming EU Missions calls that may be of interest to regional and local stakeholders. Express your interest by 22 March.

European Innovation Ecosystems and ERA Hubs: call for interest
ERRIN is launching a survey aimed at gathering views from the network’s stakeholders on how the notions of ecosystems can be rolled-out in practice, and how their interconnectedness can pilot the ERA Hub concept. The survey will help us identify regions interested to join the next HE call on Interconnected Innovation Ecosystems.

Call for EIP on AHA reference sites for twinning activities in IN-4-AHA
The IN-4-AHA project is working to exchange knowledge and innovation practices among European stakeholders working in the Active and Healthy Ageing field. The project is currently looking for to develop 10 twinning activities among reference sites from the EIP on AHA project.

The European mHealth Hub takes stock of existing experiences on integration of mHealth in health systems
The European mHealth Hub is a project established by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Regional Ministry of Health of Andalusia (Spain), together with 17 other European partners. The project is collecting relevant experience in integrating mHealth solutions into the healthcare system in Europe.

Euroclusters call for proposals underway
The European Commission has launched around 30 cross-sectoral, interdisciplinary and trans-European strategic Joint Cluster Initiatives to be called Euroclusters. The call for proposals is now ongoing, open for 14 Industrial Ecosystem Strands and one Open Strand.
