ERRIN’s Health Working Group (WG) supports members with early intelligence and regular updates about EU-level health policy-related issues, regulations, EU programmes and their funding opportunities. Creating opportunities for interregional cooperation in the Health area is one of the WG’s main objectives. As part of the event series Brussels Talks, NCBR – Business & Science Poland are organising the online event 'How to be an innovative region in Europe?', with ERRIN director Pirita Lindholm as the main speaker. The event will discuss regional innovations ecosystems, how to support R&I capacities at local and regional level and how to reduce the innovation divide. Furthermore, the support offered by current EU funded programmes and initiatives will be explored.
The TRAMI project and ERRIN are organising a mutual learning event on 18 October. The event will aim to showcase a successful translation of the EU Missions approach into concrete policies and tools on the regional level and to foster the discussion on challenges and opportunities with its implementation.
A European project development workshop is planned in Nantes, Pays de la Loire, on the 3rd of October in order to discuss upcoming Horizon Europe opportunities linked to nutrition, food, feed, and health (cluster 1 and 6). The European Research and Innovation Days (RiDaysEU) is the European Commission’s annual flagship Research and Innovation event. This year’s edition will take place online on 28 – 29 September.
EU Digital Health Tech & Innovation Conference will take place in person on 27 September in Brussels. General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection (Bacau/Romania) is looking for a partner to form a consortium with in order to apply for the Small Scale Partnership in Youth under Erasmus+. The project will include exchanges of experience between specialists from DGASPC Bacau and a more advanced partner to learn from international experts in the field of developing daily living skills for children with disabilities.
A new Mission Data Platform has recently been launched by TRAMI, the EU-funded project focusing on transnational cooperation on the Mission-approach and effective implementation of the EU Missions. This tool supports and links with ERRIN's work on multi-level governance in the Cities Mission within the NetZeroCities project.
The project aims at developing biomolecules targeting the entry step of arboviruses, through an integrated research approach including virology, molecular virology, protein engineering, structural study (Xtallography and EM), in vitro screening and in vivo validation.

SOSU Nord is a VET College in Denmark engaged in internationalization, e.g. international exchange of both employees and students. So far, we have primarily engaged in international partnerships in the somatic field and in the pedagogical field. However, we now wish to focus on the psychiatric field, as this is an essential part of the education to become Social- and Healthcare Assistant. We are thus searching for a partner school in Sweden, Norway or Swedish speaking Finland to exchange knowledge, experience and best practice and with whom we can collaborate to send employees and students to do job shadowing and work placement. Focus on the partnership will be Psychiatric nursing and rehabilitation in the coherent healthcare system.
The city of Gothenburg has, for many years, worked towards the prevention of domestic violence. A topic of interest is for example notions of violence and threats as legitimate expressions of masculinity that should be actively counteracted in contexts that are particularly important in shaping the identity of boys and young men. Today, we know that the best way to prevent violence from occurring is to start with children and youths. There are many children and youth centres in the city, where staff have the possibility to reach out to young people and raise awareness, but these are difficult subjects to address. Through this project we want to collaborate with public bodies, local youth centres and civil society organisations to develop new tools and methods to support informal learning among youths.
In this new Interreg NEW project we have the ambition to improve accessibility to health and care services in rural areas, in particular we will reach out to older people who are at risk of isolation after their spouse passed away. By offering technology, we want to help this target group in daily activities such as cooking. We want to reach out before difficulties arises. We will develop innovative care services and smart approaches to avoid extreme isolation and by consequence of this isolation health problems like malnutrition or home accidents like falls.
ERRIN is looking for two Climate Neutral Cities Advisors to join its Secretariat! The successful candidates will work to ensure the delivery of the Horizon Europe Mission on climate-neutral and smart cities by taking part in the activities of the NetZeroCities project. The deadline to apply is 15 May.
In the context of the Russian aggression against Ukraine and the ongoing war, members of the EU R&I community are mobilising efforts to support Ukrainian researchers.
