The main objective of the ICT Work Group is to act as a platform to discuss and share information on ICTrelated initiatives and funding opportunities in relation to the European Commission’s policy priority “A Europe fit for the digital age”. The European Heritage Hub is collecting good practices to share throughout Europe and beyond! Administrations of a city or region are asked to submit highlights of their work in heritage in the context of the ‘triple transformation ’ – green, digital and social – of our society. Ten practices will be selected for publication and promotion through the European Heritage Hub. Cities whose good practices are selected also get the opportunity to host a peer learning visit with a delegation of 20 participants funded by the project (3 peer learning visits will take place between Q2 2024 and Q1 2025).

The European Heritage Hub is an EU-funded pilot project bringing together heritage stakeholders and initiatives across Europe to support the transition towards a more sustainable, digital and inclusive society. The Hub has recently launched two new digital tools: the Heritage Library and the Policy Monitor. Both are now readily accessible, free of charge, and without registration requirements.

A comprehensive report that sets forth an ambitious strategy to leverage Artificial Intelligence in enhancing Europe’s cultural heritage sector has been published. The report details AI’s capacity to improve preservation, accessibility, and interaction with cultural assets. It calls for sector-wide collaboration, innovation, and investment to overcome challenges and fully harness AI’s transformative potential for heritage conservation and engagement.

From 26 February 2024, all European cities will have the opportunity to enroll in the EUCityCalc project's learning programme to learn how to collect data and use the EU City Calculator tool, which is an open source online platform that allows local councils and other stakeholders to visualise and simulate low-carbon scenarios for their towns and cities, as well as to assess the trade-offs related to available choices.
