Deadline extended until 7 June! Cities across the EU and Horizon Europe Associated Countries can apply to join the EU Cities Mission’s Twinning Learning Programme between 8 April and 7 June 2024. The European Commission launched a call for technical assistance to support communities of stakeholders working with ports, islands and fisheries. Set within the sea basins of the Mission Ocean and Waters - the Mediterranean, Atlantic & Arctic, Danube, and North & Baltic Sea - this technical assistance aims to empower and guide these communities towards impactful and sustainable feasibility studies for their projects to achieve the Mission objectives. During a dedicated session at the EU Research & Innovation Days, 23 new cities part of the EU Mission on 100 climate-neutral and smart cities were awarded the Mission Label for their plans to achieve climate neutrality by 2030. The Sohjoa Last Mile project has produced new key messages on the development of autonomous shared mobility. The project has received funding from the EU’s Interreg Baltic Sea Region programme, and it brings together 7 project partners from Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Norway, and Poland. It aims to raise awareness of the barriers within EU and national regulations, to improve the European market for autonomous mobility services.
Following the adoption of the first Work Programme for the digital part of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF Digital) in December 2021, the European Commission now launched the first calls for proposals under CEF Digital. The calls aim to strengthen digital connectivity infrastructures across the EU and support Europe's digital transformation.
