NEB Task Force

The goal of the NEB Task Force is to follow up the EU level developments of the initiative as well as showcase activities carried out on the local level to demonstrate concrete examples and results and build momentum towards a stronger NEB initiative. One of the main objectives of the task force is to develop members' understanding of the NEB initiative and, consequently, their capacity to maximise their engagement with it, particularly engaging their local ecosystems and building new collaborations. As a NEB partner, ERRIN aims to strengthen the policy dialogue with the EU institutions, with the NEB Taks Force driven by the most active members in the NEB topic.

Help shape the future European Cloud for Cultural Heritage: ECHOES survey now open

Building on some preparatory work from the CHARTER project, in which ERRIN was a partner, the ECHOES consortium is developing a European Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH). To ensure the Cloud meets the real needs of professionals across the cultural heritage sector, ECHOES has launched a Europe-wide consultation. ERRIN joins European Cities and Regions call for stronger role in EU Governance

ERRIN alongside several ERRIN Members have joined more than 80 cities, towns, regions and 11 networks across Europe to call for a new era of EU policy making – one that acknowledges local and regional authorities as equal partners in shaping Europe’s future. On 11 June 2025, the NEB Task Force, in cooperation with the North-East Romania Regional Development Agency hosted a stakeholder meeting at ERRIN to explore latest developments of the NEB initiative, as well as discuss policy approaches and practical implementation of NEB principles and projects at local and regional level.

PROSPERO project launches in Mentana: A step forward for Creative and Cultural Industry policy in Europe

On 28 and 29 May 2025, ERRIN participated in the official launch of the Interreg Europe PROSPERO project. The launch was hosted by the historic town of Mentana, with its City Council as Lead Partner. Over the course of two days, local, regional and international stakeholders came together to kick off this ambitious European initiative focused on empowering Creative and Cultural Industries (CCIs) as key drivers of sustainable and inclusive regional development.

NEST_Neighborhood Engagement through Shared Territories

This research explores how the design, availability, and use of common spaces influence the social cohesion, wellbeing, and resilience of neighbourhood communities—particularly in peri-urban areas facing demographic and spatial challenges. It examines the role of shared spaces (e.g. courtyards, parks, community halls) in fostering interactions, inclusion, and mutual care, especially among aging populations who are more dependent on nearby amenities and social networks.

The European Commission has launched both a Call for Evidence and a Public Consultation for the forthcoming European Innovation Act, a flagship initiative aiming to address the key challenges faced by all innovative companies in the EU in order to close the innovation gap between the EU and its global competitors. The feedback period is now open and will run from 8 July to 30 September 2025. Social Entrepreneur - Luxembourg

The project concept is to help Luxembourg’s Social Impact Companies (SIS) access public funding and develop impactful local projects. Many SIS struggle to apply for funding due to lack of time, expertise, or support. This initiative offers practical tools, training, individual coaching, and networking opportunities to build their capacity and strengthen collaboration across sectors.
