The goal of the NEB Task Force is to follow up the EU level developments of the initiative as well as showcase activities carried out on the local level to demonstrate concrete examples and results and build momentum towards a stronger NEB initiative. One of the main objectives of the task force is to develop members' understanding of the NEB initiative and, consequently, their capacity to maximise their engagement with it, particularly engaging their local ecosystems and building new collaborations. As a NEB partner, ERRIN aims to strengthen the policy dialogue with the EU institutions, with the NEB Taks Force driven by the most active members in the NEB topic.

On 12 May 2025, Brussels will host the 2nd InvestEU high-level event, focusing on the future European Competitiveness Fund and InvestEU's role in boosting innovation, decarbonisation and the social sector. The conference will open with a high-level session with Stéphane Séjourné, Executive Vice-President for Prosperity and Industrial Strategy, alongside other key figures, to outline the EU’s investment agenda.

On 29 January the European Commission presented the Competitiveness Compass, the first major initiative of this mandate providing a strategic framework to steer the Commission's work. ERRIN’s Culture and Creativity Cluster is planning a project development session on 20 May 2025 to support its members in building consortia on the upcoming Horizon Europe Cluster 2, 6 and NEB call for proposals. ERRIN encourages all members and their stakeholders to express interest in the calls through the ERRIN Project Development Tool. Based on the expressions of interest received in the coming month, we will choose the calls that the project development session will focus on.
