ERRIN’s Health Working Group (WG) supports members with early intelligence and regular updates about EU-level health policy-related issues, regulations, EU programmes and their funding opportunities. Creating opportunities for interregional cooperation in the Health area is one of the WG’s main objectives. On 5 July, the European Commission adopted the new European Innovation Agenda with the aim of positioning Europe at the forefront of the new wave of deep tech innovation and start-ups. We are international consortium of 3 research groups applying for the EU Joint Programme – Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) “Understanding the mechanisms of non-pharmacological interventions”. The title of our project is “Lipids – key to the beneficial effects of exercise and the missing piece of Parkinson’s disease pathophysiology”. Our project application already passed the first qualification stage and we were invited to submit full proposal.

ERA PerMed call for innovative collaborative research projects on the theme of Personalized Medicine will be published on December 14th 2020. ERA PerMed is the ERA-Net Cofund supported by 32 partners from 23 countries and co-financed by the European Commission.
The UNaLab project is conducting a study on how people generally perceive and use urban green spaces, and how these use patterns have changed due to the COVID-19 situation. The results of this study will contribute to the design of urban green spaces to satisfy the needs of all urban citizens.
