Health
ERRIN’s Health Working Group (WG) supports members with early intelligence and regular updates about EU-level health policy-related issues, regulations, EU programmes and their funding opportunities. Creating opportunities for interregional cooperation in the Health area is one of the WG’s main objectives. The WG is also a vehicle for networking, profile raising and promoting good practices and projects among health stakeholders in the ERRIN regions.

Horizon Europe brokerage events
Six brokerage events are being organised to following their corresponding cluster at the Horizon Europe Info Days. The events, organised by different partners, will provide opportunities for applicants to meet, discuss their research, ideas and expertise with potential new partners and build consortia for the new Horizon Europe calls.
Launch of the EC Knowledge Centre on Cancer
The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) is establishing an EC Knowledge Centre on Cancer (KCC) and will launch the new initiative on 30 June.

The new European Innovation Agenda unveiled
On 5 July, the European Commission adopted the new European Innovation Agenda with the aim of positioning Europe at the forefront of the new wave of deep tech innovation and start-ups. The document, to which ERRIN submitted input in May this year, sets out 25 dedicated actions under five flagships, including on European Innovation Ecosystems.

Lipids – key to the beneficial effects of exercise and the missing piece of Parkinson’s disease pathophysiology
We are international consortium of 3 research groups applying for the EU Joint Programme – Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) “Understanding the mechanisms of non-pharmacological interventions”. The title of our project is “Lipids – key to the beneficial effects of exercise and the missing piece of Parkinson’s disease pathophysiology”. Our project application already passed the first qualification stage and we were invited to submit full proposal.

ESD Talk #2 - Uncovering skills for the future in healthcare

Widening and deepening engagement in R&I has been one of ERRIN's priorities. This joint Policy and Smart Specialisation Working Groups meeting will concentrate on widening as one of the key issues to address in the FP10 debate, considering also its impact on cohesion policy post-2027.
