Health
ERRIN’s Health Working Group (WG) supports members with early intelligence and regular updates about EU-level health policy-related issues, regulations, EU programmes and their funding opportunities. Creating opportunities for interregional cooperation in the Health area is one of the WG’s main objectives. The WG is also a vehicle for networking, profile raising and promoting good practices and projects among health stakeholders in the ERRIN regions.

Cardiff Metropolitan University is organising an International Symposium on Adolescent Organised Leisure on 22 June in Cardiff.
EU policies and rotary support in the development of sustainable technology in service of health
This event will focus on an innovative model of the biomolecular laboratory of Calcinate (Bergamo). The extraordinary performance achieved by this laboratory, coupled with the extreme flexibility to deal with the wide set of virus or genetic based diseases, the reduced need of sanitary staff and the low operating costs, make it one of the few positive legacies of the recent pandemic for today's and tomorrow's healthcare systems. The event will take place on 20 June from 18:00-20:00 at Regione Lombardia offices, Brussels.

On 20 June 2023, the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) is organising a hybrid event on Synergies across the EU Funding Programmes managed by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) in collaboration with the networks of Horizon Europe National Contact Points for Cluster 1, and Cluster 4 and the network of the EU4Health National Focal Points. This event will take place at the Italian National Institute of Health in Rome and online.
CareAge Conference - Ageing societies: research, education, and practice – Sustainable collaboration in old age care
The CareSam network is organising a conference on ageing societies in an EU perspective, the challenges and opportunities. The number of older adults living with chronic diseases, multi-morbidity and dementia or other mental health illnesses is growing, leading to pressure on both the old age care sector and on relatives. This can only be understood, dealt with, and taken advantage from through interdisciplinary collaboration.
Regional Innovation Valleys calls for proposal online info session
On 25 May 2023, EISMEA is organising an online info session about the two Regional Innovation Valleys calls for proposals under the European Innovation Ecosystems part of Horizon Europe and the Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) Instrument, to be launched on 17 May 2023. Insights will be shared about the policy background and the call application process.
Culture and Mental Health: Practices and Policies
The Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the European Union, Culture Action Europe and RED NOSES International are hosting an event as part of the current EU projects “Culture for Health” and “Clowning Connects Us” titled: Culture and Mental Health - Practices and Policies. Through examples from the field and a panel discussion with decision-makers, the event offers the opportunity to discuss how we can make better use of and systematically include cultural approaches in our health and social care systems.

A Danish start-up that has developed an innovative online platform assisting educational institutions to address, measure, and evaluate the satisfaction of students, thereby preventing early drop-outs, is looking for partners for an Erasmus+ call.
Open Call: New European Bauhaus Booster 2.0 – deadline 13 March
On 16 January, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) published a call to support and help to foster the New European Bauhaus transformations. It targets European startups or scale-ups developing innovative solutions with deliberate consideration given to the NEB values. Successful applicants will be welcomed in the EIT Community NEB acceleration program that will be tailored to each company. The deadline for application is 13 March.

Action Kids is looking for municipalities working with daycare institutions within Erasmus+ eligible countries that want to become better to engage Ukrainian children in their daily activities of the institution. European Cancer Imaging Initiative launched
Earlier this week, the European Commission launched the European Cancer Imaging Initiative, part of Europe's Beating Cancer Plan. The initiative will support healthcare providers, research institutes and innovators in making the best use of innovative data-driven solutions for cancer treatment and care. The first version of the platform is expected to be released by the end of 2024, with the final release expected by the end of 2025

The European mHealth Hub takes stock of existing experiences on integration of mHealth in health systems
The European mHealth Hub is a project established by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Regional Ministry of Health of Andalusia (Spain), together with 17 other European partners. The project is collecting relevant experience in integrating mHealth solutions into the healthcare system in Europe.

Euroclusters call for proposals underway
The European Commission has launched around 30 cross-sectoral, interdisciplinary and trans-European strategic Joint Cluster Initiatives to be called Euroclusters. The call for proposals is now ongoing, open for 14 Industrial Ecosystem Strands and one Open Strand.
