Rural areas face significant healthcare challenges. An aging population, a shortage of professionals, and geographic dispersion make it difficult to provide adequate care for chronic diseases. This leads to health inequalities between rural and urban populations and negatively impacts socioeconomic development. Earlier this week, the European Commission launched the European Cancer Imaging Initiative, part of Europe's Beating Cancer Plan. The initiative will support healthcare providers, research institutes and innovators in making the best use of innovative data-driven solutions for cancer treatment and care. DT4REGIONS, a project in which ERRIN is a partner, has launched its final release of the DT4REGIONS platform. With the final release, all those interested in the digital transformation of the public sector can now submit related DT Stories and DT Solutions directly on the platform. At the heart of the project, these will serve to unlock experience sharing, mutual learning and connecting with the community of practitioners and experts across Europe.
