ICT
The main objective of the ICT Work Group is to act as a platform to discuss and share information on ICTrelated initiatives and funding opportunities in relation to the European Commission’s policy priority “A Europe fit for the digital age”. Especially highlighting the regional dimension of the ICT-field, the WG aims to create opportunities for interregional cooperation in the field of ICT by linking with other areas and sectors such as smart cities, energy, transport, health or culture.

DT4REGIONS Conference – A Journey towards an EU Platform for AI and Big Data in Public Administration
ERRIN's DT4REGIONS project is organising a two-day conference, concluding and presenting the work undertaken in the first year of its duration and setting the stage for future actions. The event will take place on 28-29 June 2022 in a hybrid mode; speakers and partners will be present on-site in Barcelona and registered participants will be able to join online.
ERRIN Spring Annual General Meeting 2022
ERRIN's Spring Annual General Meeting will be held this year on 23 June at 15:00-17:30 CEST followed by a networking cocktail from 18:00 CEST. In addition to discussing formal issues and offering an opportunity to network, the event will feature debates around the new European Innovation Agenda.
KEP 2.0 workshop - Building Synergies for Successful Green and Digital Transitions – The Way Ahead
The European Committee of the Regions and the European Commission are organising the first Knowledge Exchange Platform (KEP) event of the year. The workshop will take place on 22 June 2022, in person in Brussels. ERRIN Director Pirita Lindholm will moderate one of the two discussion sessions on "Ongoing or future strategies and initiatives".
Health & ICT WG meeting on the European Health Data Space: how to unlock its potential?
Following the legislative proposal for the European Health Data Space and in anticipation of the Health Data Regulation, the Health and ICT Working Groups will come together to explore outstanding questions ranging from the financial and legislative, to the conceptual and practical.
IHI kick-off & brokerage event
The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) will launch its first calls for proposals in June 2022. In anticipation of this, the partnership has published draft versions of the calls and is preparing a one-day, hybrid brokerage event in Brussels on 14 June.
Artificial Intelligence for the Public Sector
The Interoperability Unit of DG DIGIT and the Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) are organising a multidisciplinary Science for Policy Conference on “Artificial Intelligence: What's in it for the Public Sector?”. The conference will give participants the chance to give their view on these topics during a series of hybrid and virtual workshops and a one-day on-site session.

Feedback opportunity for Horizon Europe work programme 2025
The European Commission opened an opportunity to provide input for the development of the Horizon Europe ‘main’ work programme 2025. Submitted responses will contribute to the co-design of the work programme 2025, covering all six clusters, research infrastructures, European innovation ecosystems, the five EU Missions and the New European Bauhaus facility. The deadline for feedback is 6 May 2024 midday, CEST.
The European Capital of Innovation Awards
In 2024, the European Innovation Council is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the European Capital of Innovation Awards. The competition rewards those European cities that are courageous enough to open their governance practices to experimentation and push the boundaries of technology for the benefit of their citizens. In addition to the monetary reward, the prize brings high visibility in the form of renewed public interest and increased media coverage. The deadline for submission is 18 June 2024, 17:00.
The third Call for Proposals of the European Urban Initiative- Innovative Actions is now open
The third EUI-Innovative Actions (EUI-IA) Call for Proposals is now open and will close on 14 October 2024 at 14.00 CEST, with an allocated indicative budget of EUR 90 million ERDF. The call is targeting innovative projects focusing on two topics: 'energy transition' and 'technology in cities'.
NEIA implementation report & Regional Innovation Valleys update
On 20 March, the Commission published the first report on the state of play of the New European Innovation Agenda, following its launch in July 2022. The document outlines the progress and achievements with regard to the 25 actions under Agenda’s five flagships, including the Regional Innovation Valleys. On the same day, an EU R&I Days debate on the way forward for RIVs was also held.
Horizon Europe strategic plan 2025-2027 is out
On 20 March, the Commission adopted the second Horizon Europe strategic plan. The plan sets out three key strategic orientations for the EU's research and innovation funding for the last three years of the programme (2025-2027). Find out what novelties the new strategic plan brings.
Express your interest in the 3rd Interreg Europe call via the ERRIN Project Development Tool
Interreg Europe's 3rd call for proposals, launched on 20 March, supports interregional cooperation projects addressing common regional development challenges. Organisations can use the ERRIN Project Development tool to express interest and find partners. The call is open until 7 June 2024.

Euroclusters call for proposals underway
The European Commission has launched around 30 cross-sectoral, interdisciplinary and trans-European strategic Joint Cluster Initiatives to be called Euroclusters. The call for proposals is now ongoing, open for 14 Industrial Ecosystem Strands and one Open Strand.

Call for medical facilities for eHealth conference
Laval Mayenne Technopole, based in Western France, will hold in February 2022 the West Data Festival gathering professionals and the general public around the topics of AI and Big Data. Final DigitalHealthEurope Digest shares outcomes of DHE Summit
The seventh and final issue of the DigitalHealthEurope Digest offers a chance to reflect on the project's closing conference, the DHE Summit 2021. ERRIN has been a partner in the DHE project over the last 33 months and as the project ends several of its resources will remain active and of use to members.
