Rural areas face significant healthcare challenges. An aging population, a shortage of professionals, and geographic dispersion make it difficult to provide adequate care for chronic diseases. This leads to health inequalities between rural and urban populations and negatively impacts socioeconomic development. The Liaison Agency Flanders-Europe (VLEVA) organizes the information session "The Austrian presidency and the EU-funding programmes: Horizon Europe and COSME" The successors of Horizon2020 and COSME are the talk of the town in Europe. Starting in 2021 there will be two new programmes in place. The European Commision launched their proposals for Horizon Europe and the new COSME-programme.
