Science & Education for Society
The Science & Education for Society Working Group addresses topics related to the concept of place-based universities and engagement with society and citizens while also working on the role of education (both VET and Higher Education) in the Research and Innovation Smart Specialisation Strategies (RIS3) as well as education and skills for research and innovation. The Working Group facilitates information sharing, knowledge development, and aims to strengthen existing and build new relationships with the EU institutions. Facilitating project development is also part of the Working Group's scope. For this purpose, the Working Group assesses the interest of the membership for specific calls under Erasmus+ and support in the most efficient way the members in building consortia, primarily with the ERRIN online tool for project development.

The Changemakers and Pioneers event, hosted by Glasgow Caledonian University and the University of the West of Scotland at Scotland House, Brussels is a unique opportunity to showcase projects, hear of others’ experiences and broker new partnerships. There will also be a specific session updating on the UK's association to Horizon Europe/Plan B as well as the latest funding opportunities.
Brussels Talks: How to be an innovative region in Europe?
As part of the event series Brussels Talks, NCBR – Business & Science Poland are organising the online event 'How to be an innovative region in Europe?', with ERRIN director Pirita Lindholm as the main speaker. The event will discuss regional innovations ecosystems, how to support R&I capacities at local and regional level and how to reduce the innovation divide. Furthermore, the support offered by current EU funded programmes and initiatives will be explored.
ICRI 2022: International conference on research infrastructures
One of the major events of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU - International Conference on Research Infrastructures (ICRI 2022) - will take place from 19-21 October in Brno, Czech Republic. The ICRI 2022 onsite attendance is by invitation only, but participation online is possible for everyone.
Translating EU Missions into regional policy
The TRAMI project and ERRIN are organising a mutual learning event on 18 October. The event will aim to showcase a successful translation of the EU Missions approach into concrete policies and tools on the regional level and to foster the discussion on challenges and opportunities with its implementation.
Youth matters - examples from local and regional perspective - EWRC workshop
On 13 October, during the European Week of Regions and Cities, Wielkopolska region, in collaboration with local and regional authorities from Italy, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Republic of Srpska, is organising 'Youth matters - examples from the regional and local perspective', a workshop dedicated to youth actions and initiatives.

ERRIN Spring AGM 2023
Save the date for ERRIN’s 2023 Spring Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will take place on 22 June from 14:30-18:00 CET, followed by a networking reception. EIT Culture & Creativity KIC first calls for proposals have been published. The application period will be open from 17 April to 31 May 2023. On 25 April the KIC will host an online event to help potential applicants better understand EIT Culture & Creativity’s mission and drivers, as well as key formal aspects of calls.

The HEROES European University Alliance is looking for Higher Education Institutions from Eastern and South-Eastern Europe (particularly from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus, North Macedonia, Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro,.. ) with a strong emphasis on professional higher education, practice-oriented research and community engagement.
