Smart Cities
The objective of the Working Group is to act as a platform to offer early information on priorities and funding opportunities linked to Smart Cities, with a focus on the EU Mission on 100 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030. The WG aims to facilitate sharing of experiences and support matchmaking to develop new partnerships and projects. The WG targets the smart city topic from an integrated and holistic approach, addressing issues such as citizen engagement, data-driven policy and smart governance models, while exploring synergies between the areas linked to smart cities as addressed by the ERRIN WGs on Energy and Climate Change, Transport and ICT.

Conference on European Missions
The European Committee of the Regions is organising this conference to launch the implementation of EU Missions with cities and regions and to discuss in more detail the objectives and next steps of the Cities Mission, including the upcoming call for expression of interest later this month.
Monitoring & Evaluation of Nature-based Solutions
The UNaLab project, in which ERRIN is a partner, is co-organising a webinar on monitoring and evaluation of nature-based solutions (NBS). The webinar aims to create an understanding of NBS impact assessment by presenting the work carried out in the European Taskforce for NBS Impact Assessment.
Gender smart mobility - TInngO project final event
The 10th International Symposium on Travel Demand Management is being held in collaboration with the EU projects DIAMOND and TInnGO’s final conference and will take place from 17th – 19th November 2021. The event will be held virtually with the theme of 'Creating a paradigm shift towards gender and equality in smart mobility'. The final outcomes of both projects will be presented.

LIFE in the New European Bauhaus
The hybrid conference is organised as the LIFE programme’s response to European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen’s New European Bauhaus initiative. The three-day event is focused on behavioural change (Day 1), urban transformation (Day 2) and nature-based solutions (Day 3) and will highlight funding opportunities for NEB projects.
First TindAIR Workshop - Urban Air Mobility Project
TindAIR is a SESAR Joint Undertaking project that will operate a series of large-scale demonstrations to prove the safe integration of Urban Air Mobility as additional airspace user. The project will particularly address the issue of deconfliction as a U-space service.

Handbook on implementation and adoption barriers of urban living labs developing nature-based solutions
Developing Urban Living Labs is a relatively novel approach in urban areas, and consequently, there are many challenges and barriers that cities face during ULL adoption. This handbook, developed by the UNaLab project, aims to identify and explore some common barriers to the adoption of Urban Living Labs, and provide cities with a tool and an understanding of how to strategically address these barriers.

ERRIN Extraordinary General Meeting on 16 November 2023 – important announcement for members
All ERRIN members are invited to save the date for the ERRIN Extraordinary General Meeting, which will take place on 16 November 2023 in the ERRIN premises. The meeting is organised to make the necessary changes to the ERRIN Articles of Association and a minimum of 2/3 of the ERRIN members must be represented. Therefore, the engagement of each member is of key importance (participation is possible online for associate members).

The RECIPROCITY project, in which ERRIN is a partner, has published a helpful “Catalogue of Mobility Practices”. This guide is for regions and cities, as well as mobility providers, interested in replicating sustainable and innovative mobility solutions.
Living-in.EU launches survey to identify political priorities
The Living-in.EU movement has launched a survey, open until 15 September, to co-create the political priorities of this digital transformation movement.
EU Missions: The European Commission publishes its first mid-term review
On 19 July, the European Commission (EC) published a Communication on the assessment of the EU Missions after two years of implementation. The EC details the Missions' successes but also recognises the need to address challenges related to governance, budget, citizens and private sector engagement. The EC also proposes to add a sixth Mission on the New European Bauhaus.
DUT Call 2023 to open in September
The second call of the European Partnership 'Driving Urban Transitions' (DUT) will open on 1 September 2023. The call topics, grouped into three themes on Positive Energy Districts, the 15-minute City and Circular Urban Economies, can already be consulted on the DUT website.

The ambition of this project is to contribute to more equality in health by working on ways to secure that marginalized citizens and vulnerable people with one or more chronical disease profit from prevention care and interventions increasing their individual health literacy.
