Transport
The Working Group promotes cooperation and facilitates dialogue between regions in the field of transport, mobility and logistics as well as with the EU institutions to raise awareness of the regional and local dimensions of the thematic areas. The group fosters discussion on new developments in EU policy and facilitates project development and participation in European projects.

Regulatory sandboxes in the energy sector
The Energy and Climate Change Working Group is organising its upcoming meeting on regulatory sandboxes in the energy sector on Tuesday 12 December from 14:00 to 15:30 CET. The meeting will take place at ERRIN's office (Rue Luxembourg 3, 1000 Brussels) and will be accessible online for non-Brussels participants.
Creating Value in Mobility ecosystems
Coventry University & BOOSTERLabs, members of the Inno-Mob project consortium, are holding an online workshop, "Creating Value in French #Mobility Ecosystems," on 12 December 2023. The workshop will present the upcoming funding opportunities under Horizon Europe 2024 calls and will feature an interactive co-design session using the #EIT Value Creation Model.

A look forward: Launching ERRIN reflections on regional dimension in R&I post-2027

Management Board elections 2023 – results
Following the call for nominations for ERRIN Management Board held between 20 September and 5 October, we are happy to announce the nominated Management Board members. The five nominees will be approved as new Management Board members at the ERRIN Extraordinary General Meeting on 16 November.

The European Week of Cities and Regions (EWRC) has come to an end. This year’s edition has been particularly rich in ERRIN’s involvement, with the Secretariat co-organising four events, promoting projects, and the Working Group Leaders participating in several panel discussions.

In view of the annual strategy workshops that we will organise with all the Working Group (WG) and Task Force (TF) leaders in the second half of November, all members are invited to provide input on priorities, topics, and activities that should be addressed in 2024. Lyon Métropole seeks to join a consortium for Horizon Europe call on Zero Pollution
Lyon Métropole would be interested in joining a consortium as a partner working on the topic of urban pollution and population exposure. The consortium would work to better understand the scope of the problem and contribute to identifying actions that could be promoted to better protect both its population and environment.
169 country actions in support of the New European Innovation Agenda
On 19 September 2023, the European Commission published the list of actions that Member States and Associated Countries to Horizon Europe are so far undertaking or planning to undertake in support of one or more of the five flagships of the New European Innovation Agenda, including Flagship 3 closely followed by ERRIN. 20 countries have so far reported 169 actions in total, with their scope ranging from regional, through national to European.

Plenary Meeting of the S3 European Hydrogen Valleys Partnership and call for input
On 20 June 2023, ERRIN participated in the Plenary Meeting of the S3 European Hydrogen Valleys Partnership, hosted in the House of the Dutch Provinces in Brussels. In this context, ERRIN with its Energy & Climate Working Group is in the process of producing an input paper building on the work of the S3 Partnership on Hydrogen Valleys and collecting ERRIN’s members’ needs, challenges and solutions.

RECIPROCITY: Outcomes of the Istanbul Mobility Mission and new opportunities for members!
ERRIN recently participated in the RECIPROCITY Mobility Mission held in Istanbul from 23-26 May. This mission was a valuable opportunity to explore Istanbul’s innovative mobility ecosystem, engage in knowledge sharing and discuss best practices. Beyond the Mobility Missions, the RECIPROCITY project offers further opportunities for ERRIN members.

The RECIPROCITY project launched its Funding & Legal Helpdesk which can provide Cities & Municipalities with the necessary support regarding legal and financing issues in the replication of smart and clean mobility projects. By utilising this service, your organisation can request technical advice on public funding options, financing methods for mobility projects, as well as on institutional cooperation and legal support for the development of sustainable mobility projects.

Interreg Europe project on greening serching for a PTA/regional or city authority from the Interreg Region West
EIT Urban Mobility, a flagship EU initiative for sustainable urban mobility, is searching for a city/PTA partner for our Interreg Europe project on greening (and energy efficiency) of public transport. The objective is to set up a support system for decision-makers in designing policies/plans/strategies/action plans for sustainable urban mobility, helping to increase capacities and support consultations and knowledge-sharing.
