In 2024, the European Innovation Council is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the European Capital of Innovation Awards. The competition rewards those European cities that are courageous enough to open their governance practices to experimentation and push the boundaries of technology for the benefit of their citizens. ERRIN has been invited to join a preparatory action proposal (Ref CNECT/2020/3855382) to establish a pan-European tool (‘the EU Platform for Regions’) that facilitates the uptake and use of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data by regional and local public administrations across Europe.
