Transport
The Working Group promotes cooperation and facilitates dialogue between regions in the field of transport, mobility and logistics as well as with the EU institutions to raise awareness of the regional and local dimensions of the thematic areas. The group fosters discussion on new developments in EU policy and facilitates project development and participation in European projects.

ERRIN Spring AGM 2023
ERRIN's Spring Annual General Meeting will take place on 22 June from 14:30-17:45 CEST, followed by networking reception. This year the event will be held in-person, with online streaming available for members who aren’t based in Brussels.

ERRIN's EU Missions project mapping: express your interest
ERRIN aims to provide support to its members in developing successful proposals under the EU Missions of the Horizon Europe 2023-2024 work programme. ERRIN designed a brief survey with the upcoming EU Missions calls that may be of interest to regional and local stakeholders. Express your interest by 22 March.

Interreg NEXT MED: Demand Responsive Transport to tackle energy efficiency in the mobility
EIT Urban Mobility is searching for partners; cities, regional policy-making authorities (public authorities and public law bodies), transport authorities and operators, academic and industry partners, and NGOs from across the Mediterranean Basin. The cooperation area is made up of the following countries: Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Jordan, Malta, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, Algeria, and Turkey.

The Mobility Innovation Marketplace is the one-stop shop for new urban mobility solutions developed, tested, and validated within the EIT Urban Mobility ecosystem, and beyond.
Open Call: New European Bauhaus Booster 2.0 – deadline 13 March
On 16 January, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) published a call to support and help to foster the New European Bauhaus transformations. It targets European startups or scale-ups developing innovative solutions with deliberate consideration given to the NEB values. Successful applicants will be welcomed in the EIT Community NEB acceleration program that will be tailored to each company. The deadline for application is 13 March.
Pathways2Resilience Project
The Pathways2Resilence project, launched earlier this week, will empower at least 100 regions and communities in designing pathways and innovation agendas to become climate resilient by 2030.

Interreg Europe project on greening serching for a PTA/regional or city authority from the Interreg Region West
EIT Urban Mobility, a flagship EU initiative for sustainable urban mobility, is searching for a city/PTA partner for our Interreg Europe project on greening (and energy efficiency) of public transport. The objective is to set up a support system for decision-makers in designing policies/plans/strategies/action plans for sustainable urban mobility, helping to increase capacities and support consultations and knowledge-sharing.

Project opportunities for members in the Missions-related calls under Horizon Europe
ERRIN has been actively involved in supporting its members - regions and their R&I ecosystems - in developing successful proposals under the EU Missions calls of the Horizon Europe programme. The Bioeconomy Working Group and Adaptation Task Force organised two informal meetings focused on the Mission Soil and Mission Adaptation calls.

Open consultations on SRIA update of CCAM and ZEWT Partnerships
The CCAM and the ZEWT European Partnerships have launched two open consultations to update their Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). These are an opportunity for ERRIN members to contribute and provide valuable input towards the development of connected, cooperative, and automated mobility solutions, as well as a carbon-neutral and zero-pollution waterborne transport system in Europe.

Regional Innovation Valleys calls for proposals launched!
The first Regional Innovation Valleys calls for proposals under the European Innovation Ecosystems (EIE) part of Horizon Europe and under the Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) Instrument of the ERDF were launched by the European Commission on 17 May with an overall budget of EUR 122 million. The closing date for applying is 17 October 2023.

Pathways2Resilience launches Expression of Interest
The Pathways2Resilience programme has launched its Expression of Interest questionnaire. The programme will allocate €21 million across 100 regions and communities through two call cycles, while also providing them with a range of support services and capacity-building activities to support the formulation of local resilience pathways and innovation agendas. The deadline is 15 September, with an information session being held on 9 June between 10:00-11:00.
