On 18 April, the RESIST project, in which ERRIN is a partner, hosted a webinar for the regions involved. The webinar focused on private solutions that can help encourage citizens' engagement in Climate Change adaptation activities. During the event, three solutions were presented: CoTowns, which is a technology that rewards citizens for contributing towards a sustainable urban environment; Maptionnaire, a platform used to design and manage community engagement; and MI4pADAPT, which is a DIY manual for stakeholder and citizen engagement.
CircularInvest helps cities and regions implement circular strategies by removing obstacles and closing the gap between circular economy project promoters and investors. A new CircularInvest call has been launched for project promotors who want to increase the investment readiness level of their local and regional circular economy projects. All ERRIN members are invited to save the date for the ERRIN Extraordinary General Meeting, which will take place on 16 November 2023 in the ERRIN premises. The meeting is organised to make the necessary changes to the ERRIN Articles of Association and a minimum of 2/3 of the ERRIN members must be represented. Therefore, the engagement of each member is of key importance (participation is possible online for associate members).

The Blue Economy Working Group is looking for regional examples of water-related nature-based solutions for climate change, to be presented in its upcoming meeting ‘Water issues in the era of climate change’. The meeting will take place on 5 October between 10:00 and 11:30 CEST. Deadline for contributions is on Friday 8 September.
On 19 July 2023, the European Commission published a call for evidence to collect further input from multiple stakeholders for a European roadmap for Hydrogen Valleys. This roadmap will outline the strategic priorities and actions needed to reach the REPowerEU objective of doubling the number of Hydrogen Valleys in the EU by 2025. The Energy and Climate Change WG and Policy WG are working on an input paper for this call. The deadline for direct submission to the Commission is 16 August.
Two Innovation Action projects under Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030 currently have open calls for associated regions. The CLIMAREST project's call focuses on the replication of technologies and tools for marine restoration, with a deadline for applications on 8 September 2023. The DANUBE4all project's call focuses on technical assistance for the preparation of roadmaps, plans, and projects to restore freshwater ecosystems in regions, with a deadline on 31 August 2023.
On 19 July, the European Commission (EC) published a Communication on the assessment of the EU Missions after two years of implementation. The EC details the Missions' successes but also recognises the need to address challenges related to governance, budget, citizens and private sector engagement. The EC also proposes to add a sixth Mission on the New European Bauhaus.
