Cultural Heritage & Tourism
The Cultural Heritage and Tourism Working Group has two main lines of action: Sustainable Tourism and Cultural Heritage, and the policies and actions that link the two areas. In this context, the WG investigates R&I-related measures to mitigate touristic flows' environmental and social impact and encourage the transition towards sustainable tourism and cultural policies and practices. To this end, the WG supports ERRIN members in the uptake of digital technologies and the development of skills/competences in the Cultural Heritage and Tourism sectors, facilitating exchanges of good practices and developing new projects.
Finally, the Working Group aims to provide early information to members on cultural heritage and tourism policy future strands, financial tools, inter-regional joint activities, EU calls, and disseminating open opportunities and results of key ongoing projects.

The New European Bauhaus - Creating sustainable living environment on local level
ERRIN has become a Bauhaus partner and set up a cross-sectoral task force to shape the New European Bauhaus initiative. As the first activity of the task force, a conversation will be hosted to discuss the objectives of the New European Bauhaus with the European Commission and provide input towards building a joint and multi-disciplinary initiative with regions and cities as its main drivers.
Horizon Europe info-days
The European Commission has announced the first edition of the Horizon Europe info-days, which will take place over 10 days, divided into nine themes. From 28 June to 9 July 2021, the event will give prospective applicants insight into the novelties, main funding instruments and processes of Horizon Europe.

ERRIN Spring Annual General Meeting 2021
Welcome to ERRIN Spring Annual General Meeting 2021! Taking place on 22 June just before the EU R&I Days, it will provide a great opportunity to exchange on the role and contribution of regional and local research and innovation ecosystems in the EU. The Spring AGM will also be a very special occasion as this year marks 20 years of ERRIN.
ERRIN dialogue with European Commission on the Starfish Mission
ERRIN and the European Commission are preparing for a dialogue on the role of regional and local actors in the Mission Area: Healthy Oceans, Seas, Coastal and Inland Waters. Members and their relevant stakeholders are invited to take part in the active discussion, which will include two breakout sessions focused on the 'area-based lighthouse demonstrators' described in the Mission proposal.

PROSPERO – Culture and Creativity driving prosperous development
the PROSPERO proposal seeks to put CCIs at the centre of sustainable and dynamic economic development, thus boosting our socio-economic and environmental well-being. PROSPERO uses interregional exchange and learning to consider how megatrends (digitalisation, climate action, social resilience) are reflected in the CCI sector across Europe and how public policy can ensure that we benefit from these megatrends.
New CHARTER Report: Forecast to fill gap in Heritage Education and Training
In its new report, "Forecast to fill gaps in Heritage Education and Training", the CHARTER EU Alliance delves into the gaps and needs of Cultural Heritage professionals in Europe. This report maps the main challenges for professional development in heritage, encompassing technology, sustainable development, professional collaboration, public administration, diversity, funding, social uses, knowledge transfer, occupation coding, and skills description.
Call for participants to the ENCC incubator 2024
The 2024 edition of the ENCC - European Network of Cultural Centres - mentoring programme on EU project writing, will take place in Valletta, Malta, hosted by our member Spazju Kreattiv. A call for participants is now open until 15 May.
