Cultural Heritage & Tourism
The Cultural Heritage and Tourism Working Group has two main lines of action: Sustainable Tourism and Cultural Heritage, and the policies and actions that link the two areas. In this context, the WG investigates R&I-related measures to mitigate touristic flows' environmental and social impact and encourage the transition towards sustainable tourism and cultural policies and practices. To this end, the WG supports ERRIN members in the uptake of digital technologies and the development of skills/competences in the Cultural Heritage and Tourism sectors, facilitating exchanges of good practices and developing new projects.
Finally, the Working Group aims to provide early information to members on cultural heritage and tourism policy future strands, financial tools, inter-regional joint activities, EU calls, and disseminating open opportunities and results of key ongoing projects.

ERRIN Spring AGM 2023
ERRIN's Spring Annual General Meeting will take place on 22 June from 14:30-17:45 CEST, followed by networking reception. This year the event will be held in-person, with online streaming available for members who aren’t based in Brussels.
NEB in Regions and Cities event
A two-day NEB in Regions and Cities event will take place on 21 and 22 June in Brussels. The event will serve as a forum for learning and exchange among people, institutions, municipalities, and regions who are implementing or have an interest in developing NEB projects on the ground.

The EIT Culture & Creativity’s Moonshot event, introduced by EU Commissioner Mariya Gabriel, provides an opportunity to establish a long-term and ambitious shared goal for the competitiveness of European CCSIs and their critical role in the future of Europe.

Culture and Mental Health: Practices and Policies
The Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the European Union, Culture Action Europe and RED NOSES International are hosting an event as part of the current EU projects “Culture for Health” and “Clowning Connects Us” titled: Culture and Mental Health - Practices and Policies. Through examples from the field and a panel discussion with decision-makers, the event offers the opportunity to discuss how we can make better use of and systematically include cultural approaches in our health and social care systems.

ERRIN two-page input on FP10 for the attention of the Expert Group
As the work towards the next EU Framework Programme for R&I (FP10) continues, ERRIN is pleased to share its two-page input for the attention of the Expert Group on the interim evaluation of Horizon Europe. The document is a concise compilation of the reflections on FP10 done at ERRIN so far, highlighting topics of key importance. Work on a series of broader input papers is underway.
PROSPERO – Culture and Creativity driving prosperous development
the PROSPERO proposal seeks to put CCIs at the centre of sustainable and dynamic economic development, thus boosting our socio-economic and environmental well-being. PROSPERO uses interregional exchange and learning to consider how megatrends (digitalisation, climate action, social resilience) are reflected in the CCI sector across Europe and how public policy can ensure that we benefit from these megatrends.
New CHARTER Report: Forecast to fill gap in Heritage Education and Training
In its new report, "Forecast to fill gaps in Heritage Education and Training", the CHARTER EU Alliance delves into the gaps and needs of Cultural Heritage professionals in Europe. This report maps the main challenges for professional development in heritage, encompassing technology, sustainable development, professional collaboration, public administration, diversity, funding, social uses, knowledge transfer, occupation coding, and skills description.

Cultural Heritage in Action: call for good practices
Cultural Heritage in Action wants to share your best practices throughout Europe and beyond. If you are part of the administration of a city, region or a rural area in the EU, this is your chance to highlight your work in cultural heritage.
