Cultural Heritage & Tourism
The Cultural Heritage and Tourism Working Group has two main lines of action: Sustainable Tourism and Cultural Heritage, and the policies and actions that link the two areas. In this context, the WG investigates R&I-related measures to mitigate touristic flows' environmental and social impact and encourage the transition towards sustainable tourism and cultural policies and practices. To this end, the WG supports ERRIN members in the uptake of digital technologies and the development of skills/competences in the Cultural Heritage and Tourism sectors, facilitating exchanges of good practices and developing new projects.
Finally, the Working Group aims to provide early information to members on cultural heritage and tourism policy future strands, financial tools, inter-regional joint activities, EU calls, and disseminating open opportunities and results of key ongoing projects.

Joint ICT and CH&T WG: Understanding the European Data Space for Cultural Heritage and Cloud for Cultural Heritage
The ICT and CH&T WGs invite their members to the next meeting on Understanding the European Data Space for Cultural Heritage [and Cloud for Cultural Heritage TBC]. The meeting aims to provide members with a better understanding of [the Collaborative Cloud for Europe's cultural heritage and] the European data space for cultural heritage. The meeting will take place online on 27 April from 16:00-17:15.
New European Bauhaus Festival
In April 2024, the European Commission organises the second edition of the New European Bauhaus Festival.
VIA QUERINISSIMA: A route from the North to the South of Europe
The event on the Via Querinissima project will be held on 29 March between 10:00 and 11:30 at the European Parliament. Via Querinissima aims to trace the route travelled by Pietro Querini by sea and by land to endorse the values of solidarity and welcome to promote slow, conscious and sustainable, cultural tourism.

Open calls for Town Twinning and Networks of Towns
Two calls, one on Town Twinning and another on Networks of Towns, will open later this year. There will be an info day for each, om June and March respectively. Both calls aim to promote exchanges between citizens of different countries, to give them practical experience of the wealth and diversity of the common heritage of the Union and to make them aware that these constitute the foundation for a common future.
Partner search for Creative Europe call for revitalising heritage sites
The City of Vincennes is leading a project on creative opportunities to revitalise heritage sites and is searching for an additional partner. The project: the creation of 3 video-mapping films of approximately 15 minutes which will then be projected on 3 heritage sites, in a setting chosen by the partner (specific event, already existing festival, etc.).
Search for "transfer partner" for a EUI-IA call
The Municipality of Koper from Slovenia is searching for a third “transfer partner” within their project L.I.B.E.R.T.A.S. (Lifelong Broad community participation for Energy efficient Reappropriation of cultural heritage Trough Active Social and cultural citizen Involvement) which will be submitted for the EUI-IA. CHARTER Alliance releases a new report on cultural heritage stakeholders’ roles and dynamics
CHARTER Alliance publishes a new report mapping cultural heritage stakeholders, looking at cultural heritage as an economic sector and labour market with interacting stakeholders in anticipated roles, whose dynamics, skills and competencies will affect the quality of heritage as a resource and common good.
Management Board elections 2022 – results
Between 3 and 17 October, ERRIN members could put forward their candidatures for this year’s ERRIN Management Board elections. Five new Management Board members were selected and approved at the Autumn Annual General Meeting on 8 December.

CulturEU, a new interactive guide mapping all funding opportunities available now
The CulturEU is a one-stop shop for EU funding and gathers a total of 75 funding opportunities from 21 different EU programmes, from Creative Europe and Horizon Europe to structural funds and InvestEU. The interactive online tool can direct any European cultural entity to the most appropriate EU financial support available to it.
