Design & Creativity
The Design & Creativity WG aims to raise awareness of design and creativity as tools and drivers for innovation in different sectors and across Europe. Our objectives are the following: To present challenges; especially in relation to sectors that do not yet work with design (thinking) and creativity; to showcase the importance of design & creativity through good examples and concrete cases; to create a strong and vital community among our stakeholders across Europe through a bottom-up approach; to connect designers, thinkers, business, policy and society interested in finding common solutions for different challenges and to create opportunities for the WG members to develop project proposals, share their ideas, stories and ongoing activities with the EU community.

Youth Learning Through Arts seminar
It is the European Year of the Youth and the Erasmus+ project Youth Learning Through Arts (YLTA) will visit Brussels in September. A Youth Learning Through Arts seminar will be organised to present the results and impacts of the project including innovative learning activities, art methods and tools that youth workers can utilize in their work. Also, two Finnish innovations related to cultural education: the Art Testers program and Cultural Education Plans, will be presented at the seminar.

Partner search for Creative Europe call for revitalising heritage sites
The City of Vincennes is leading a project on creative opportunities to revitalise heritage sites and is searching for an additional partner. The project: the creation of 3 video-mapping films of approximately 15 minutes which will then be projected on 3 heritage sites, in a setting chosen by the partner (specific event, already existing festival, etc.).

The Municipality of Koper from Slovenia is searching for a third “transfer partner” within their project L.I.B.E.R.T.A.S. (Lifelong Broad community participation for Energy efficient Reappropriation of cultural heritage Trough Active Social and cultural citizen Involvement) which will be submitted for the EUI-IA. Management Board elections 2022 – results
Between 3 and 17 October, ERRIN members could put forward their candidatures for this year’s ERRIN Management Board elections. Five new Management Board members were selected and approved at the Autumn Annual General Meeting on 8 December.

The New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative is supported by a combination of different EU financing instruments. The overview of the available support for the years 2023-2024 has been just updated on the NEB website.

The Horizon Europe work programme 2023-24 has been adopted by the European Commission.
Launch of transition pathways for social and proximity economy
The purpose of the call is to collect pledges from stakeholders on the concrete actions that they will take to help achieve the shared action areas identified in the Transition Pathway. The initial deadline to submit pledges is 28 February 2023.

H2020 Proposal for Smart Windows Developpers and/or Adhesive Industry
The project will develop a proof of concept, to show the technical and financial viability of a plug&play system composed of components and intelligent modules for interior renovation, which currently does not exist in the market. This system will consist of panels with highly insulating and lightweight materials, such as aerogel, heating and cooling elements, ventilation, as well as intelligent windows, and possibly energy production.

Designscapes open call for pilot proposals
The second round of the DESIGNSCAPES Open Call is up and running!
