Health
ERRIN’s Health Working Group (WG) supports members with early intelligence and regular updates about EU-level health policy-related issues, regulations, EU programmes and their funding opportunities. Creating opportunities for interregional cooperation in the Health area is one of the WG’s main objectives. The WG is also a vehicle for networking, profile raising and promoting good practices and projects among health stakeholders in the ERRIN regions.

Exploring Synergies between European Partnerships and EU Missions – Mutual Learning Event
ERRIN and the TRAMI project are organising a Mutual Learning Event (MLE) aiming to explore synergies between European Partnerships and EU Missions. The event will take place on Wednesday 7 February from 9:00 to 12:00 (CET) at the NCBR Brussels Office, Rue Belliard 40, Brussels.

Stockholm Region EU Office is hosting a breakfast seminar on personalised medicine in collaboration with the University Alliance Stockholm Trio, EIT Health Scandinavia, Vinnova and Science for Life Laboratory at Karolinska Institute. The event will take place on 1 February, floor 5, Nordic house, Rue du Luxembourg 3.
Policy WG meeting: Kick-starting 2024: Towards R&I and cohesion policies post-2027
The Policy Working Group will kick off 2024 with a meeting offering the latest insights about the work at the EU level towards future R&I and cohesion policies post-2027, as some of ERRIN's priority focus areas for the coming years. The event will take place in person at the ERRIN premises on 30 January from 14:00-15:30, followed by networking coffee until 16:00.
European MetaCluster in Precision Medicine
MEDIC NEST Consortium is organising a conference dedicated to the launch of the MEDIC NEST European MetaCluster in Precision Medicine scheduled on January 24th in Brussels.
Health WG meeting: The 2024 EU Health Agenda
This Health WG meeting will provide an overview of the EU 2024 health agenda and a networking opportunity to start the year. The meeting will take place from 15:30-17:30 on 15 January 2024 at the ERRIN offices, Rue du Luxembourg 3 (8th floor), 1000 Brussels.

Danish intelligent platform for student experience and prevention of drop-outs looking for vocational education institutions for Erasmus+ project cooperation
A Danish start-up that has developed an innovative online platform assisting educational institutions to address, measure, and evaluate the satisfaction of students, thereby preventing early drop-outs, is looking for partners for an Erasmus+ call.
Open Call: New European Bauhaus Booster 2.0 – deadline 13 March
On 16 January, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) published a call to support and help to foster the New European Bauhaus transformations. It targets European startups or scale-ups developing innovative solutions with deliberate consideration given to the NEB values. Successful applicants will be welcomed in the EIT Community NEB acceleration program that will be tailored to each company. The deadline for application is 13 March.
European Cancer Imaging Initiative launched
Earlier this week, the European Commission launched the European Cancer Imaging Initiative, part of Europe's Beating Cancer Plan. The initiative will support healthcare providers, research institutes and innovators in making the best use of innovative data-driven solutions for cancer treatment and care. The first version of the platform is expected to be released by the end of 2024, with the final release expected by the end of 2025

The MISTLETOE (iMprovIng acceSs To paLliative care for pEople wiThOut cancer) proposal aims at developing a systems level multidimensional person-centred palliative care intervention at the interface between specialist and community/primary care for people without cancer and their care partners and formal care givers, by combining established evidence-based collaborative, fundamental nursing and specialist person-centred clinical and psychosocial palliative care models.

DG SANTE has launched a 'have your say' call for evidence on the Commission Communication 'A comprehensive approach to mental health', that is expected in Q2 this year. The call for evidence closes on 15 February 2023.

Study on the use of urban green spaces
The UNaLab project is conducting a study on how people generally perceive and use urban green spaces, and how these use patterns have changed due to the COVID-19 situation. The results of this study will contribute to the design of urban green spaces to satisfy the needs of all urban citizens.

Key R&I programmes including Horizon Europe receive €15 billion boost in MFF compromise
A compromise between the Council Presidency and the European Parliament has been reached regarding the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF). As a result, Horizon Europe, EU4Health, Erasmus+ and other key programmes will receive a €15 billion boost.
