ERRIN’s Health Working Group (WG) supports members with early intelligence and regular updates about EU-level health policy-related issues, regulations, EU programmes and their funding opportunities. Creating opportunities for interregional cooperation in the Health area is one of the WG’s main objectives. The ERRIN Secretariat is pleased to invite you to the upcoming virtual ERRIN Intro Coffee, aiming to offer a concise introduction to ERRIN and its services, as well as encourage networking between members. Further to the Health WG meeting on the Cancer Mission, EUREGHA and ERRIN have decided to address the Cancer Mission Board with a statement to emphasise the role of regions in this mission.
On 20 March, the Commission published the first report on the state of play of the New European Innovation Agenda, following its launch in July 2022. The document outlines the progress and achievements with regard to the 25 actions under Agenda’s five flagships, including the Regional Innovation Valleys. On the same day, an EU R&I Days debate on the way forward for RIVs was also held.
Interreg Europe's 3rd call for proposals, launched on 20 March, supports interregional cooperation projects addressing common regional development challenges. Organisations can use the ERRIN Project Development tool to express interest and find partners. The call is open until 7 June 2024.

The EU-funded project Health InnoFacilitator invites public procurers operational in the provisioning of health and social care to apply for the Call for Coaching Sessions to receive advice to facilitate the launch of future tenders to procure innovative solutions. Coaching will be given on either "Advise public buyers on the formulation of their needs" or "Advise public buyers on the PPI process". The deadline for application is 29 February.
The Commission is currently hosting the first pan-European matchmaking event to expand COVID-19 vaccine production capabilities across Europe. The event with over 300 participating European companies will also explore how to address production and supply chain bottlenecks.
