Smart Cities
The objective of the Working Group is to act as a platform to offer early information on priorities and funding opportunities linked to Smart Cities, with a focus on the EU Mission on 100 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030. The WG aims to facilitate sharing of experiences and support matchmaking to develop new partnerships and projects. The WG targets the smart city topic from an integrated and holistic approach, addressing issues such as citizen engagement, data-driven policy and smart governance models, while exploring synergies between the areas linked to smart cities as addressed by the ERRIN WGs on Energy and Climate Change, Transport and ICT.

Horizon Europe info days - Cluster 4
Horizon Europe info days - Cluster 4 (Digital, Industry and Space) will take place online from 12-14 December. This event aims to inform potential applicants about the funding opportunities of the 2023 calls of Horizon Europe Cluster 4 'Digital, Industry and Space' Work Programme 2023-2024.
ERRIN Autumn Annual General Meeting 2022
ERRIN's Autumn Annual General Meeting will be held this year on 8 December from 14:30-18:15 CET followed by networking drinks from 18:15 CET. In addition to discussing formal issues and offering an opportunity to network, the event will feature a working session around the European Year of Skills.

Lost in NEB? Examples, visions and the way forward
The ERRIN Bauhaus taskforce is organising an event on 29 November which aims to discuss the initiatives from different perspectives taking stock of what has been implemented so far, understanding the various links to get a clear, coherent picture, and exploring the next steps.
Horizon4Poland '22 Matchmaking Event
Horizon4Poland ’22 matchmaking event organised by the Industry Contact Points of the Lukasiewicz Research Network takes place on 22 November 2022 between 09:30 and 17:15 in Warsaw. The purpose of the event is to build cooperation, match partners and support the creation of consortia to obtain funding for research and innovation projects under Horizon Europe Programme in six focus areas.
Smart Tourism Destinations Project - Webinar #2
Smart Tourism Destinations is a European Commission initiative to support EU cities to facilitate access to tourism and hospitality products and services through technological innovation. The initiative is hosting a series of webinars addressing a range of topics related to innovative digital solutions for tourism. the next one will take place on 17 November and will focus on the deployment of data management and technological solutions for innovation in smart destinations.

Handbook on implementation and adoption barriers of urban living labs developing nature-based solutions
Developing Urban Living Labs is a relatively novel approach in urban areas, and consequently, there are many challenges and barriers that cities face during ULL adoption. This handbook, developed by the UNaLab project, aims to identify and explore some common barriers to the adoption of Urban Living Labs, and provide cities with a tool and an understanding of how to strategically address these barriers.

EU City Calculator: a learning programme to support public authorities in reaching climate neutrality
From 26 February 2024, all European cities will have the opportunity to enroll in the EUCityCalc project's learning programme to learn how to collect data and use the EU City Calculator tool, which is an open source online platform that allows local councils and other stakeholders to visualise and simulate low-carbon scenarios for their towns and cities, as well as to assess the trade-offs related to available choices.

More than 65 cities from ERRIN Member Regions selected for EU Cities Mission
The European Commission has announced the 112 cities selected for the Mission on climate-neutral and smart cities. Over 65 of the selected cities come from ERRIN Member Regions. Selected cities will work together to reach climate neutrality by 2030.

Call for short videos on innovative regional initiatives to be presented at WIRE 2022
To highlight innovation in Europe during this year's edition of the Week of Innovative Regions in Europe (WIRE) in France, short videos will be played during the event, presenting innovative R&I related activities/initiatives/projects led by the European regions.
