The Working Group promotes cooperation and facilitates dialogue between regions in the field of transport, mobility and logistics as well as with the EU institutions to raise awareness of the regional and local dimensions of the thematic areas. The group fosters discussion on new developments in EU policy and facilitates project development and participation in European projects.

UnILiON Brokerage event on Horizon Europe Cluster 5 (Transport, Energy and Mobility)

This event is organised by Brussels liaison offices from the UnILiON network. UnILiON is an informal network of around 54 Brussels-based liaison offices that represent over 160 universities across Europe, as well as in the UK, Japan, and Norway. The event aims to build a platform for everyone, bringing stakeholders together to share ideas, knowledge, and expertise and find suitable partners for future consortia under the specific Horizon Europe calls in Cluster 5, focusing on Destinations 2 and 6.

DUT Conference 2024: Driving Urban Transitions through Joint Action

The Driving Urban Transitions (DUT), a European Partnership committed to supporting cities in their journey to become sustainable, resilient, and inclusive, is hosting its biennial policy conference, bringing together urban leaders, practitioners, researchers, investors, and visionaries at the forefront of sustainable urban transition. The event will be taking place in Brussels from 10-12 April.

Connecting Europe Days 2024

Co-organised by the European Commission and the upcoming Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU, the Connecting Europe Days will take place in Brussels from 2-5 April 2024. This event will bring together key stakeholders to discuss measures for building a decarbonised, resilient, seamless and digital transport and mobility network in line with the EU Green Deal and the Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy.

Cities Mission: Experiences and lessons learned from the Climate City Contract process

The Smart Cities Working Group is inviting two cities that have successfully developed their Climate City Contracts to share their experiences and lessons learned from the process in its upcoming meeting on 25 March between 15:00-16:30 CET. The European Commission will provide an update on the state of play of the Cities Mission, focusing on the Climate City Contract process and the Mission Label. 

European Research and Innovation Days (R&I Days) 2024

The European Commission’s annual flagship research and innovation event will take place on 20 and 21 March 2024, both physically in Brussels and online. The R&I Days 2024 will give you the opportunity to debate how we can make Europe more sustainable and competitive and will celebrate the outcomes and achievements in research and innovation since the launch of the first R&I Framework Programme over 40 years ago.

ERRIN contribution to the European roadmap for Hydrogen Valleys

The discussions around the development of the Hydrogen Valleys are gaining momentum with the European Commission's open consultation on the topic. ERRIN submitted an input paper based on its members' needs, challenges, and solutions. This paper outlines how local and regional governments address hydrogen-related challenges and recognises the importance of Hydrogen Valleys as place-based innovation ecosystems bringing together key stakeholders engaged in developing hydrogen solutions.

NetZeroCities Call for Pilot Cities

The NetZeroCities project, in which ERRIN is a partner, has opened a second Call for Pilot Cities. Mission Cities which are not yet part of the Pilot Cities Programme can apply to test and implement innovative approaches towards rapid decarbonisation. The Call for Pilot Cities is open until 6 November 2023 17.00 CET.

ERRIN Extraordinary General Meeting on 16 November 2023 – important announcement for members

All ERRIN members are invited to save the date for the ERRIN Extraordinary General Meeting, which will take place on 16 November 2023 in the ERRIN premises. The meeting is organised to make the necessary changes to the ERRIN Articles of Association and a minimum of 2/3 of the ERRIN members must be represented.
