40 Regions begin their Pathways2Resilience Journey
40 Regions and Communities, including 14 from ERRIN Member regions, have been selected to participate in an 18-month journey with the Pathways2Resilience Project, in which ERRIN is a partner. As part of this programme, the regions will develop a climate resilience strategy, an action plan and an accompanying investment plan to move towards transformative climate adaptation.
Pathways2Resilience will provide regions with step-by-step technical guidance through the Regional Resilience Journey, a transformational adaptation framework developed by the project. This journey will include capacity-building activities, learning and knowledge exchange opportunities, and access to a comprehensive climate resilience toolbox to support regions in advancing their climate adaptation efforts. The regions will also benefit from cascade funding, as Pathways2Resilience will allocate 21 million euros across two cohorts of regions.
This marks the first step in Pathways2Resilience’s journey to support 100 regions and communities in advancing transformative climate adaptation. The second call for applicants, planned for June 2025 (TBC), will select an additional 60 regions and communities to join the programme.
ERRIN looks forward to the first results and to continuing to work with these regions alongside its Climate Adaptation Task Force, with two task force leaders coming from participating regions.
