EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change

The Climate Adaptation Task Force builds on previous ERRIN's work around the EU Mission on Adaptation. ERRIN has followed the Mission closely and contributed to its shaping and implementation through the development of input papers, organisation of events and discussions with the Mission Secretariat. ERRIN became a Friend of the Mission in 2022, alongside 130 of its member cities and regions, and provided input on the Mission Charter

Adaptation Task Force

The Climate Adaptation Task Force drives and structures ERRIN's work on Mission Adaptation - building on ERRIN’s previous activities whilst engaging members in current opportunities and activities under the Mission. Further, the Task Force supports in steering the work of ERRIN's Mission Adaptation projects, while also addressing topics relevant to the local and regional implementation of the Mission.

HuMUS Call for Proposals - Online Info Day

The HuMUS project is organising an online info day about its cascade funding call 'Engage with and activate municipalities and regions to protect and restore soil health'. The online event will take place on 07 March 2024 from 10:30 CET.

2nd European Mission Forum

The second edition of the European Mission Forum, taking place on 7 March in Brussels and co-organised by the TRAMI project under the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU, will showcase EU Mission-related achievements and present outcomes of nearly 2 years of TRAMI project activities. Policy WG: Towards FP10 – internal member exchange

#EURegionsWeek 2024 kick off meeting

The 22nd edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities will take place on 7-10 October 2024. The kick-off meeting for potential partners will take place on Thursday, 22 February, from 10:00 - 11:30 at the European Committee of the Regions. It is also possible to follow this meeting online.

The document aims to inspire and help public actors and policymakers to promote and support public engagement.

Existing private solutions to foster citizens' engagement in Climate Change adaptation activities

On 18 April, the RESIST project, in which ERRIN is a partner, hosted a webinar for the regions involved. The webinar focused on private solutions that can help encourage citizens' engagement in Climate Change adaptation activities. During the event, three solutions were presented: CoTowns, which is a technology that rewards citizens for contributing towards a sustainable urban environment; Maptionnaire, a platform used to design and manage community engagement; and MI4pADAPT, which is a DIY manual for stakeholder and citizen engagement.

CircularInvest call for project promotors aiming to increase the investment readiness of their local and regional circular economy projects

CircularInvest helps cities and regions implement circular strategies by removing obstacles and closing the gap between circular economy project promoters and investors. A new CircularInvest call has been launched for project promotors who want to increase the investment readiness level of their local and regional circular economy projects. The deadline for applications is 13 September 2024.

Express your interest in the EU Missions and New European Bauhaus Calls 2024

The European Commission has launched new calls for proposals to support research and innovation for its five EU Missions and the New European Bauhaus (NEB). ERRIN encourages all members and their stakeholders to express interest in the EU Missions and NEB calls through the ERRIN Project Development Tool (PDT).

Participate in the Climate-ADAPT evaluation survey

The European Environment Agency and DG CLIMA are conducting a survey to improve the Climate-ADAPT platform and its sub-sites. The survey will collect feedback on content, functionality, and dissemination.

HuMUS open call for proposal - Participatory governance on soil health - Deadline Extended until 5 April

The HuMUS project has launched a cascade funding call aimed at supporting 20 pilot projects in fostering participatory governance methods to improve soil health at regional and local levels in Europe. The total budget for the HuMUS Call for Pilot proposals is €600.000, with a maximum subgrant of €30.000 (lump sum) per Pilot Project. The deadline for proposal submission has been extended until 05 April 2024.

On 17 January 2024, ERRIN will host a future collaboration opportunities session focusing on stakeholders engagement across different sectors, which will see the active participation of RIPEET pilot ecosystems and partners. Pathways2Resilience: First Call for Regions and Communities- Deadline extended until May

Pathways2Resilience (P2R), an ERRIN project, has opened its first call for Regions and Communities for subgrant applications to co-design visions of a climate-resilient future and transformative adaptation pathways that will ensure long-term impact. The first call has had the deadline extended until 6 May 2024 12:00 CEST. Following updated guidance from CINEA, UK regions are now eligible to apply.
