ERRIN’s Health Working Group (WG) supports members with early intelligence and regular updates about EU-level health policy-related issues, regulations, EU programmes and their funding opportunities. Creating opportunities for interregional cooperation in the Health area is one of the WG’s main objectives. The ERRIN Secretariat is pleased to invite you to the upcoming virtual ERRIN Intro Coffee, aiming to offer a concise introduction to ERRIN and its services, as well as encourage networking between members. The Institute of Human Genetics of the Polish Academy of Sciences is looking for a coordinator and additional partners for a project within the Horizon Europe Programme (Tools and technologies for a healthy society).
ERRIN’s Spring Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2023 took place on 22 June this year. As always, it brought together the large and dynamic community of member regions and cities. Following the format part with the update from the network, the main focus was the EU Missions, approached in two policy debates, on the support and implementation frameworks in Adaptation, Ocean and Waters and Soil Missions, and the governance innovation and the perspective on Cities and the Cancer Missions.
The first Regional Innovation Valleys calls for proposals under the European Innovation Ecosystems (EIE) part of Horizon Europe and under the Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) Instrument of the ERDF were launched by the European Commission on 17 May with an overall budget of EUR 122 million. The closing date for applying is 17 October 2023.
On 15 May, the European Commission's DG RTD launched a call for applications for the Commission Expert Group on the Interim Evaluation of Horizon Europe. The group shall gather 15 highly experienced members with the aim to provide the Commission with strategic recommendations to feed into the design of the next Framework Programme 2028-2034.
The planned launch of the Regional Innovation Valleys call for proposals under Horizon Europe is approaching on 17 May 2023. ERRIN is happy to share a recap of the latest insights and dedicated activities organised with the aim of supporting network members interested in applying to the call.
The seventh and final issue of the DigitalHealthEurope Digest offers a chance to reflect on the project's closing conference, the DHE Summit 2021. ERRIN has been a partner in the DHE project over the last 33 months and as the project ends several of its resources will remain active and of use to members.
The Europa Kujaw i Pomorza association which acts for Kujawsko-Pomorskie region in Poland is looking for experts to present at a medical conference.
To start planning Working Group activities for 2022, the Working Group leaders will take part in the annual strategy workshops at the end of November. To inform these workshops, ERRIN members are invited to take part in an annual survey – an opportunity to provide input on the network’s future priorities and reflect on past activities.
Every year ERRIN holds elections for the Management Board. You can put forward your candidature for this year’s elections until 18 October.

ERRIN's Health Working Group is pleased to endorse the recommendations for the European Health Data Space (EHDS) produced by the DigitalHealthEurope project, ahead of the DHE final conference taking place this week.
