ICT
The main objective of the ICT Work Group is to act as a platform to discuss and share information on ICTrelated initiatives and funding opportunities in relation to the European Commission’s policy priority “A Europe fit for the digital age”. Especially highlighting the regional dimension of the ICT-field, the WG aims to create opportunities for interregional cooperation in the field of ICT by linking with other areas and sectors such as smart cities, energy, transport, health or culture.

Stakeholder workshop on the progress of Horizon Europe
The European Commission is organising a stakeholder workshop on the progress of Horizon Europe in the context of the mid-term review. The event will take place online on 29 June from 10:00-13:00 CEST. Participants will be invited to take the floor and share their individual experiences with Horizon Europe up until now. Widening countries are particularly encouraged to take part.

ERRIN Spring AGM 2023
ERRIN's Spring Annual General Meeting will take place on 22 June from 14:30-17:45 CEST, followed by networking reception. This year the event will be held in-person, with online streaming available for members who aren’t based in Brussels.
DT4REGIONS Final Conference
The DT4REGIONS Final Conference will be held in Brussels and online on 21-22 June 2023. The main objective of the event is to showcase the work done by the DT4REGIONS project over the last two years. The event will be an occasion to reinforce the DT4REGIONS community and to involve regions, cities and communities from across Europe, encouraging all of them to share their challenges and look for common solutions on the DT4REGIONS platform.

Draft Horizon Europe 2023-24 work programmes published
The European Commission has published the draft 2023-2024 Horizon Europe work programmes. The drafts have not yet been adopted or endorsed by the European Commission, but have been made available to provide potential participants with the currently expected overview of this work programme.
New Interoperable Europe Act proposal adopted
The Commission has adopted the Interoperable Europe Act proposal, which will support the creation of a network of digital public administrations to accelerate the digital transformation of Europe’s public sector. This act will help create a secure exchange of cross-border data and to share digital solutions. There is also an expected cost saving aspect through this act of between €5.5 and €6.3 million for citizens and between €5.7 and €19.2 billion for businesses dealing with public administrations.

ERRIN’s 2022 Autumn Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on 8 December 14:30-18:15 CET, followed by networking drinks from 18:15 CET. We cordially invite all the network members to join us – registration is now open!

Your inputs are essential as they will provide a basis for the discussions during the workshops, and for the overall planning process for 2023, which will define ERRIN’s work next year.
Second set of calls for proposals under CEF Digital programme launched
The European Commission has launched the second set of calls for proposals under the Connecting Europe Facility Digital programme, with a budget of €277 million. The deadline to apply is 23 February 2023. One of the calls that could be of particular interest to ERRIN members is the '5G for Smart Communities'.
DT4REGIONS Award: Submit your solution for digital transformation - deadline extended!
The DT4REGIONS Award, an initiative of the Digital Transformation for Regions project in which ERRIN is a partner, is now open for submissions until 30 November. The call is open for AI or Big Data based, currently implemented solutions for digital transformation of public services. Selected winners will bring recognition to their initiatives across Europe.

Danish cinematic VR experience production company is preparing to apply for Erasmus+ small scale funding and is looking for University/ school/ museum partners to develop learning materials on sustainability through VR experience - a roleplaying STEM game scenario. Hereby, students are motivated to enjoy the learning process instead of being bound and trapped. Results demonstrate an 100% increase in girl motivation for learning STEM subjects

DG GROW Inventory of transferable digital tools and practices for the tourism sector
DG GROW has launched the project “INVENTORY OF TRANSFERABLE DIGITAL APPLICATIONS AND SOLUTIONS FOR THE TOURISM ECOSYSTEM” (Contract Number EASME-2019-OP-0021-015-GROW-IN) that aims to collect information about digital tools and practices used in EU countries that support the tourism sector. The inventory is built on data collected via a public survey open until 30 September.

New members of the EU Missions Boards announced
Yesterday the European Commission announced 75 new top experts who will advise on the five EU Missions through serving on their Boards. ERRIN is thrilled that Françoise Guaspare from Île-de-France Europe, one of the Transport Working Group leaders, will join the Mission Board of the Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission.
