ICT
The main objective of the ICT Work Group is to act as a platform to discuss and share information on ICTrelated initiatives and funding opportunities in relation to the European Commission’s policy priority “A Europe fit for the digital age”. Especially highlighting the regional dimension of the ICT-field, the WG aims to create opportunities for interregional cooperation in the field of ICT by linking with other areas and sectors such as smart cities, energy, transport, health or culture.

Bioeconomy and ICT WG meeting: Bioeconomy meets data
The Bioeconomy and ICT WGs are organising an online meeting on how data and digital tools are used within different sectors of the bioeconomy, taking place on 23 November between 10:00-11:30 CET. Projects and initiatives from ERRIN member regions will be presented alongside a presentation by the European Commission on the use of digital tools in R&I activities to enable the transition of industrial circular bio-based systems in the EU.
Horizon4Poland '22 Matchmaking Event
Horizon4Poland ’22 matchmaking event organised by the Industry Contact Points of the Lukasiewicz Research Network takes place on 22 November 2022 between 09:30 and 17:15 in Warsaw. The purpose of the event is to build cooperation, match partners and support the creation of consortia to obtain funding for research and innovation projects under Horizon Europe Programme in six focus areas.
Digitalising Europe’s railways: what’s in for passengers and freight
This hybrid event, organised by Brenner Railway Action Group (Aktionsgemeinschaft Brennerbahn/ Comunità d’azione Ferrovia del Brennero), will highlight concrete solutions and projects on the Digitalisation of Europe’s railways with a particular focus on cross-border problems modal shift from road to rail and the inter-modality.
Smart Tourism Destinations Project - Webinar #2
Smart Tourism Destinations is a European Commission initiative to support EU cities to facilitate access to tourism and hospitality products and services through technological innovation. The initiative is hosting a series of webinars addressing a range of topics related to innovative digital solutions for tourism. the next one will take place on 17 November and will focus on the deployment of data management and technological solutions for innovation in smart destinations.
European Partnership Stakeholder Forum - One-year review of European Partnership Initiatives in Horizon Europe
On 15 and 16 November 2022, the European Commission will launch its first European Partnership Stakeholder Forum. The Forum focuses on reviewing the first year of partnerships and, in particular, how they can contribute to the twin green and digital transitions, and increase Europe’s resilience. Participation is possible online or in person in Brussels.

Expression of interest: Circular Cities and Regions Initiative Multi-Stakeholder Dialogues
The Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI), one of ERRIN's projects, is organising Multi-Stakeholder Dialogues in 2024-2025 to identify Research & Innovation Gaps that need to be bridged to boost the circular economy at the local and regional level. Experts are invited to express their interest in participating in the CCRI Dialogues to share their research and innovation needs and feed into the design of the Horizon Europe 2025-2027 calls.
ERRIN end of year reception - 2023 Highlights
On 7 December, ERRIN celebrated the network’s achievements in 2023. Following an engaging meeting with leaders of our 15 Working Groups, all ERRIN members were invited to a cocktail reception featuring a keynote from Markus Schulte, Head of Cabinet of Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth. Following the adoption of the first Work Programme for the digital part of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF Digital) in December 2021, the European Commission now launched the first calls for proposals under CEF Digital. The calls aim to strengthen digital connectivity infrastructures across the EU and support Europe's digital transformation.

Open call to support digitalisation of SMEs from Castilla y León through DIHs
The DIHnamic project opened a call for support for SMEs' digitalisation in collaboration with Digital Innovation Hubs. The call is addressed to SMEs from Castilla y León interested in improving their digitalisation status through the services provided by the DIHs.

SeniorForm - a new online exercise program for seniors owned by John Nørgaard from SonoKids Denmark and Viggo Steincke, Steincke Soundlab in partnership with attached a number of resource persons: Physiotherapists, nursing home managers, and health professionals. https://seniorform.dk/ SeniorForm is aimed at older people in their own homes, nursing homes and activity centers. The program helps to keep users self-sufficient by keeping the body supple. Hereby, Erasmus+ project through cross-collaboration with elderly nursing homes, health and education institutions, associations want to contribute to The HealthyLifestyle4All Initiative and create a cross-country platform supporting and promoting a healthy lifestyle, movement, and sport for the elderly in nursing homes.

First Work Programme for CEF Digital adopted
On 16 December the European Commission adopted the first Work Programme for the digital part of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF Digital), defining the scope and aims of the EU-supported actions needed to improve Europe's digital connectivity infrastructures for 3 years. Over €1 billion will be dedicated to these actions in funding in 2021-2023.
