The Climate Adaptation Task Force builds on previous ERRIN's work around the EU Mission on Adaptation. ERRIN became a Friend of the Mission in 2022, alongside 130 of its member cities and regions, and provided input on the Mission Charter
The Climate Adaptation Task Force drives and structures ERRIN's work on Mission Adaptation - building on ERRIN’s previous activities whilst engaging members in current opportunities and activities under the Mission. The EEA will release a report on 15 May titled "Responding to climate change impacts on human health in Europe: focus on floods, droughts and water quality". The report, produced under the European Climate and Health Observatory, aims to help policymakers understand the effects of floods, droughts, and water quality on human health due to climate change.

ERRIN is supporting the REINFORCING project in organising an interactive workshop aimed at exploring the challenges and needs faced by cities and regions regarding citizen engagement within the EU Missions. The project will support organisations financially with specific training, capacity-building sessions, mentoring opportunities and peer learning. The workshop will be organised on 23 April between 11:30-13:00 at ERRIN’s office.

In the frame of ERRIN’s focus on the Regional Innovation Valleys call under Horizon Europe (EIE RIV call), the requirement of 50% co-funding emerges as one of the most challenging aspects of the call for prospective applicant regions. The online Policy WG meeting on 29 June aims to discuss this urgent issue to further support network members in applying to the EIE RIV call by 17 October.
