NEB Task Force
The goal of the NEB Task Force is to follow up the EU level developments of the initiative as well as showcase activities carried out on the local level to demonstrate concrete examples and results and build momentum towards a stronger NEB initiative. One of the main objectives of the task force is to develop members' understanding of the NEB initiative and, consequently, their capacity to maximise their engagement with it, particularly engaging their local ecosystems and building new collaborations. As a NEB partner, ERRIN aims to strengthen the policy dialogue with the EU institutions, with the NEB Taks Force driven by the most active members in the NEB topic.

NEB Task Force Satellite Event: Regions & Cities paving the future of the NEB

Opening up Research and Innovation processes in EU Missions: Interactive Workshop
As part of the New European Bauhaus Festival, the REINFORCING project will be running a workshop on Open Responsible Research and Innovation. During this interactive and participatory workshop, participants will have a chance to discover practical examples of how public engagement and co-creation processes can be used in the context of EU missions and share the challenges faced in implementing these processes. Over 70 ERRIN member regions announced as Regional Innovation Valleys
On 19 June, the Commission announced the 151 regions identified as Regional Innovation Valleys following the call for EoI and calls for proposals in 2023. 75 successful regions come from ERRIN members. RIVs will aim to strengthen the regional innovation ecosystems, bridge the innovation gap and improve Europe's overall innovation performance. New calls for proposals under Horizon Europe are expected in 2025.
Be.CULTOUR Project wraps up a successful journey on circular cultural tourism
In a dynamic two-day event held on 5 – 6 May in Naples, Be.CULTOUR, project in which ERRIN is a partner, successfully hosted its final event 'Beyond Cultural Tourism: Beautiful, Circular, Human'. The results of the project, the tools developed, and the materials and guides produced to inspire and accompany any other regions interested in boosting their sustainability and entrepreneurship of local cultural tourism are available on the Be.CULTOUR website.

Live info session on Destination New European Bauhaus 2024
Following the adoption of the NEB Facility, the first multi-annual budget support tool for the New European Bauhaus from 2025 to 2027, the amended work programme of Horizon Europe for 2024 will now include the Destination New European Bauhaus with a budget of €20 million to prepare the ground for the implementation of the New European Bauhaus Facility 2025-2027. An info session will be held online on 26 April from 15:00-16:00.

On 25 and 26 April, the European Commission is organising Info Days dedicated to the EU Missions 2024 calls for proposals. The event will provide potential applicants with information on the new topics included in the EU Missions work programme 2024 under Horizon Europe. Policy WG meeting: Role of EU Missions in FP10
ERRIN has been actively working on the topic of EU Missions as one of the network's priorities. As we continue preparations towards the next European Framework Programme for R&I, the upcoming Policy Working Group meeting will focus on the role of EU Missions in FP10. The event will take place in person at the ERRIN premises on 23 April from 14:00-16:00.

Co-creation and citizen engagement in EU Missions Workshop
ERRIN is supporting the REINFORCING project in organising an interactive workshop aimed at exploring the challenges and needs faced by cities and regions regarding citizen engagement within the EU Missions. The project will support organisations financially with specific training, capacity-building sessions, mentoring opportunities and peer learning. The workshop will be organised on 23 April between 11:30-13:00 at ERRIN’s office.
