ERRIN’s Health Working Group (WG) supports members with early intelligence and regular updates about EU-level health policy-related issues, regulations, EU programmes and their funding opportunities. Creating opportunities for interregional cooperation in the Health area is one of the WG’s main objectives. The WG is also a vehicle for networking, profile raising and promoting good practices and projects among health stakeholders in the ERRIN regions.

Policy WG: Towards FP10 – internal member exchange
The Policy Working Group is organising an internal member exchange to discuss the regional activities planned around the next European Framework Programme for R&I, as well as the structuring and focus of ERRIN’s input to FP10. The event will take place in person at the ERRIN premises on 22 February from 14:30-16:00, with welcome coffee from 14:00.
#EURegionsWeek 2024 kick off meeting
The 22nd edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities will take place on 7-10 October 2024. The kick-off meeting for potential partners will take place on Thursday, 22 February, from 10:00 - 11:30 at the European Committee of the Regions. It is also possible to follow this meeting online.
High Level Conference: Research Perspectives on the Health Impacts of Climate Change
The European Commission is hosting a 2 day high-level conference, “Research Perspectives on the Health Impacts of Climate Change”. The event will bring together climate change and health researchers, funders and policymakers to reflect on the current challenges, priorities and needs for research and researchers in this area. The conference will take place online and in person on 19-20 February.
Exploring Synergies between European Partnerships and EU Missions – Mutual Learning Event
ERRIN and the TRAMI project are organising a Mutual Learning Event (MLE) aiming to explore synergies between European Partnerships and EU Missions. The event will take place on Wednesday 7 February from 9:00 to 12:00 (CET) at the NCBR Brussels Office, Rue Belliard 40, Brussels.
Breakfast seminar on personalised medicine in practice – from a system to an individual perspective.
Stockholm Region EU Office is hosting a breakfast seminar on personalised medicine in collaboration with the University Alliance Stockholm Trio, EIT Health Scandinavia, Vinnova and Science for Life Laboratory at Karolinska Institute. The event will take place on 1 February, floor 5, Nordic house, Rue du Luxembourg 3.
Policy WG meeting: Kick-starting 2024: Towards R&I and cohesion policies post-2027
The Policy Working Group will kick off 2024 with a meeting offering the latest insights about the work at the EU level towards future R&I and cohesion policies post-2027, as some of ERRIN's priority focus areas for the coming years. The event will take place in person at the ERRIN premises on 30 January from 14:00-15:30, followed by networking coffee until 16:00.

ERRIN's Health Working Group is pleased to endorse the recommendations for the European Health Data Space (EHDS) produced by the DigitalHealthEurope project, ahead of the DHE final conference taking place this week.

The new authority HERA will oversee the development, production and distribution of medicines, vaccines and other medical countermeasures, like PPE, that were seen to be lacking during the first phase of Europe's coronavirus response.
